Initially I was impressed with the rope chain, but after a year it turned blue/green. Since the seller advertises a lifetime warranty I contacted them for a replacement. They asked for a picture (which I sent) and told me they'd send another chain, and gave an expected arrival date. When it passed I wrote them again and was given an order number and told that Amazon handled it, so I'd have to follow-up with them. Amazon said the order number given wasn't a "valid" one and that I needed to contact the seller. I advised Waitsoul of this and said I'd like a refund if they couldn't fulfill their warranty. The next day I received a refund, though I would have preferred a replacement chain. Update 10/25/23 - The seller contacted me wanting to make things right, and shortly thereafter I received a replacement chain. It's very nice and I hope to enjoy it for many years. Notice my chain is stamped “Italy” and “ 925” although clearly is plated copper, the lobster clasp is the only real silver part, fell off my grandsons neck and i soldered on a new ring to give it more strength, then after cleaning i noticed the plating was wearing away. The title reads “ gold plated/silver” should read “gold plated/silver plated”. Notice the sly use of words to separate you from your money while supplying fake precious metals! Bought this to replace the broken 2mm 14 K gold plate on sterling silver rope chain for my 14 K gold cross. The new chain is in fact 1 mm thicker than my old one but the number of links making up each turn of the new chain is less than on the old; the new one seems less sturdily built than the old although, the new one is slightly heavier. The end caps for the chain are imprinted with “925” and “ITALY” indicating Italian made sterling silver but there is no imprint giving the karat value of the gold plating. The accompanying receipt lists that value as 14 K but it should still be imprinted on the chain. My 14 K gold cross is a lighter yellow than the chain but that might just be a difference in the mix of alloying metals. In the month and a half I’ve worn the new chain with my cross, the gold hasn’t starting coming off; it’s thus more likely plated than dipped. ... show more

Good for OCCASIONAL wear. It is well made and initially looks great. But it is not for daily long-term wear Purchased end of August of 2025 and by February 2026 (6 months of daily wear) I had some green on my neck and could see where the plating had worn off. . Since it is Gold plate over Sterling silver I do not understand why I see "copper" color metal where the gold has rubbed off. But??? ... show more
