So many balls, so little time
Size: 700Pcs ASE
Haven’t actually used this yet but wanted to have it on hand should the bearings on my e-bike go south. The front wheel still uses individual bearings.

700 Ball Bearings — One of Those Kits You Don’t Need… Until You REALLY Need It
Size: 700Pcs ASE
They’re balls. They’re steel. There are 700 of them. Mission accomplished. RATING: 5 out of 5 steal balls!!! OVERVIEW & TL;DR • I mean, if you need some ball bearings, this is a pretty good kit! 😂 You get 700 G25 steel ball bearings, which is enough that I’m probably going to have this box sitting in my garage for years. I originally picked it up for motorcycle repairs and general garage/mechanical projects, but it has already come in handy for replacing missing balls in some of my skateboard bearings as well. That’s really the appeal here: it’s a relatively inexpensive assortment of small precision steel balls that can save you from replacing an entire bearing, detent mechanism, or assembly simply because one tiny steel ball launched itself into another dimension during disassembly. The G25 specification is also reassuring for something like this. These aren’t just random BBs or decorative steel balls — they’re intended for applications where reasonably consistent sizing and roundness actually matter. For the home mechanic, tinkerer, motorcycle owner, skateboarder, or anyone who routinely takes mechanical things apart, this is exactly the kind of kit that earns a permanent spot in the parts drawer. ______ PROs * 700 pieces — unless you’re rebuilding bearings for a living, this should last quite a while. * G25-grade steel balls rather than a box of mystery metal spheres. * Great for motorcycle repair and maintenance projects. * Useful for replacing lost or missing balls in serviceable skateboard bearings. * Handy for detents, bearings, mechanical projects, repairs, and general tinkering. * Much better than discovering you’re missing one tiny ball and having to replace an otherwise perfectly usable component. * Great addition to a home garage, workshop, or miscellaneous hardware collection. * Having an assortment on hand means you can actually match what you need instead of improvising. * Compact way to keep a surprisingly large number of replacement bearings available. ______ CONs * It’s 700 steel balls. There isn’t exactly a revolutionary feature set to evaluate here. 😂 * Make sure you measure the original ball carefully before using a replacement. “Looks about right” isn’t a great standard when you’re dealing with bearings or safety-critical mechanical components. * For critical motorcycle components, I’d still follow the manufacturer’s service procedure and replace the complete bearing/assembly when specified rather than assuming an individual ball replacement is appropriate. Bottom Line This is one of those boring-but-awesome garage purchases. I bought the set primarily for motorcycle projects and replacing missing balls in skateboard bearings, and it does exactly what I wanted: gives me a big supply of accurately sized steel balls sitting in the garage whenever some microscopic piece of hardware inevitably escapes during a repair. If you work on motorcycles, bikes, skateboards, tools, or basically anything containing bearings or detent mechanisms, having a box like this around is surprisingly useful. 5/5!! ... show more

Good assortment for all sorts of projects
Size: 640Pcs
I do all sorts of odd projects and have found that keeping an assortment of steel bearing balls like this around is a lot more convenient than I'd have thought originally. I use these for all sorts of things; from replacing lost bearings in toys or odd household items to replacing lost retaining balls (the spring loaded sort) in a couple of tools, to using one of the larger ones in small paint bottles to help mix the paint. These are good quality, and the assortment contains a wide variety of sizes that let you find something that will work in most of the instances I mentioned; so it's a really versatile assortment to keep on hand. The stainless steel construction helps keep them in good condition when the environment they operate in isn't the greatest. Overall, this is a great kit to have if you fix any of your own (or even other's) things; and after one or two times fixing something and not having to spend the money to replace it this kit has paid for itself, especially at its reasonable price point. ... show more

The 1 mm Balls Actually Made Me Giggle
Size: 640Pcs
I ordered this assortment for a couple of specific projects. I have a vintage Lazy Susan with rusty bearing balls that I'd like to restore, and I also use stainless steel balls in some of my paint bottles to help mix the paint, so I figured having an assortment of sizes around would come in handy. Everything is organized by size in a plastic case, and the 1 mm and 2 mm balls come packaged separately. They have to. If those spilled, you would never find them. Ever. They'd disappear and probably go to hang out with your lost socks... wherever that place is. What surprised me the most was just how unbelievably tiny the smallest sizes are. I knew they were 1 mm, but until you actually see one in person, it's hard to appreciate just how microscopic they really are. I honestly don't have a use for anything that small, but I can certainly see where someone working on precision equipment or tiny mechanisms would, and I am amazed and impressed if that's you. Hat's off to you. That's some skill set... oh, and patience. For me, the larger sizes are the ones I'll probably use the most, especially for restoring vintage items or dropping into paint bottles to help mix paint. That's what made this assortment appealing in the first place. Instead of buying one size, I now have a range available whenever I run into an odd project. Overall, I think this is a handy assortment to keep around if you enjoy repairing, restoring, or tinkering with things. I may never use the tiniest ones, but I'd rather have them and not need them than need one someday and not have it. ... show more

Comprehensive bearing ball assortment with durable steel construction for repairs
Size: 700Pcs ASE
Used this for replacing worn bearing balls during equipment and bicycle repairs, and the biggest advantage is having multiple sizes organized in one kit instead of searching for individual replacements when a repair comes up. In actual use, the assortment covers several common imperial sizes, making it useful for bicycle hubs, pedals, bottom brackets, casters, and other projects that use loose ball bearings. Having a large quantity of each size means there's plenty available for future maintenance. The G25 chrome steel bearing balls feel well made, with a smooth finish and consistent sizing. They roll smoothly and fit properly in compatible bearing races, making them suitable for rebuilding or servicing worn assemblies. One thing I noticed is that selecting the correct size is important since even a small difference in diameter can affect bearing performance. Measuring the original bearing balls before installation helps ensure the best results. The storage case keeps each size separated and clearly organized, making it easy to find the right bearings without mixing them together. The chrome steel construction also gives confidence in long-term durability and wear resistance. Overall, this is a practical bearing assortment with good quality, useful size selection, and convenient organization, making it good value for money for DIY mechanics, bicycle maintenance, workshop repairs, and anyone who regularly services equipment with loose ball bearings. ... show more
