These work great for our camping trips. We have travel 3 times with them in the back of our truck. They have been durable. We use them for our outdoor shower and to refill our camper since there is no water hook up on our site. They did not have an oder when we first got them.     • Good water storage solution, but with somewhat limited storage options
Size: 640 Ounces
I use this Hedpack for state-park camping. 5 gallons is a good size for a family of four, and with an add-on spigot it's a great way to store water at the campsite. The Hedpack has a vent to allow for easy, smooth pouring, and the lid is pre-drilled for a 3/4" spigot. If you plan to add a spigot, you will need to drill or punch through the lid punchout, but it's an easy job. I bought some extra 70mm lids because I find transporting water with the spigot attached to be a pain. Unfortunately, they're not really great for home water storage, if that's what you're looking for. The plastic is fairly thin, and because the handle and spout sit off the top you would need to store them on their side if you want to stack them. By contracts, I have Nampac water containers for home storage where the handles and lid are recessed, and which have sturdier plastic, so you can stack them directly on top of each other (but the Nampacs have 60mm lids, which are harder to find in threaded versions). ... show more

Been great so far with no issues, got a few of these for RO water for the aquarium as the LFS were out of seachem totes. Actually feels a little thicker material than the seachem, and may surpass them in longevity time will tell. Really sturdy, good gasket on the cap haven't had a leak yet during transport even when one tipped over during transport home. ... show more
