I owe this review to Amazon and all future person(s) seeking the perfect pair of EMS pants in which are INCREDIBLY COMFORTABLE, PROFESSIONAL LOOKING, and NOT BAGGY whatsoever!! I just was hired at my local hospital as an EMT/ER Technician so I was directed to purchase black EMT pants or something tactical with a professional appearance to satisfy the professional appearance requirements as well as job requirements when away from the ER responding to a call. The town in which I reside is very small with no such store in which to purchase these said pants.. I must have ordered and returned 4 pairs of EMT pants from Amazon to no avail!! I'm 5'9" with a waist size of 29 so my ideal pant size is 29/30. It's been a struggle finding pants in that size let me tell you and everything I've ordered was too large due to the smallest size being 30/30 or one of the two measurements being too large. Well I was about to give up all hope until I found these pants on prime!! The size of these pants are 28/30 and their absolutely perfect! The waist is one size smaller but the adjustable waist component to these pants makes it perfect and snug. The length is also perfect and true to advertised length! These pants fit and feel like a dream! The material is amazingly comfortable and appears durable to endure anything. These pants fit very well with no "baggy" appearance and look very professional! There are more pockets than I know what to do with!!! Absolutely love these pants!!!! Will most certainly be buying more! My recommendation is purchase a pant with the waist size being 1 size below your normal and that's just a recommendation as the adjusting waist gently compress around you making it a even more ideal feeling fit. If you want non-baggy, amazingly well fitted true to size pant then look no further and order these. It will be your first and last purchase unless you buy more of these!!!     • Fit, Durability, and Style In One Comfortable Pant!

Excellent product! Great fit! I had to get my husband a second pair because he wanted to wear them every day due to how comfortable they are. He is very active and they stretch when he moves and are so durable. I have a feeling we will be replacing all his trousers with these. True to size.

Nice pair of pants so far. I like 5.11 products and have quite a few of them - bags, backpacks and apparel. I've got to say, though, that while I really enjoy using their bags and backpacks, I've had some poor experience with their pants. I own a pair of their Jean-Cut pants in Dark Navy Blue and wish they were better - the colour faded off in some places, the metal ring at the waist got some rust on it, the belt loops are very tight. I don't know how these Strykes are going to show themselves, but so far they seem to be quite decent - they are comfortable to wear and I really like the cargo pockets that are placed higher than usual. The fit is really slim, not like most of tactical pants on the market, and that's another plus of them - they really look like you can wear them every day without getting comments and looks on you. To be honest, I'm a huge fan of Blackhawk Lightweight pants - I own several pairs and in my eyes they are one of the best tactical pants on the market - tough as nails, no colour-fading, no bad stitching, nothing. The first pair I've been wearing for 4 years now and they still look good - like used, but without any signs of abuse or holes (and I've used them in a lot of situations that were not really gentle for clothing - construction, outdoor work, shooting, etc). So 5.11 Stryke Pants will have to prove themselves to me as, naturally, I'll be comparing them to the BH LW pants. So far they're OK, comfortable, nicely-looking, inexpensive, and if the colour doesn't magically fades off with time and no holes easily occur after minor abuse when they shouldn't have - they deserve a good rating. ... show more

    • The Perfect Fit, Manufacture & Design!
A perfect fit! In fact, I can't recall anytime when I purchased 'hi-end' tactical pants in this size that fit me so well. The manufacturing quality was evident from the start upon inspection and from the moment I wore it. Love all the pockets - each are ergonomically and strategically stitched in place. I have a total sense of free movement, even when stretching. And I'm fairly flexible! These pants offer excellent comfort and a clean fit and look. The 5.11 Stryke pant greatly surpasses the build quality of other popular "tactical" pants that are sold at larger sports and outdoor recreational stores who often charge much higher. I've purchased 5 pairs over the past 5 years - regularly wearing these every day, including social gatherings, thanks to its clean look and fit (not overly aggressive). One serious issue is durability. The fabric for each of my pants begins to show wear and tear after just several months of use. Specifically, the first 4 of 5 slacks would each start fraying/thinning along the buttucks and crotch regions, only. I do tend to kneel down or sit on rougher surfaces, sand, rocks/tree stumps vs on chairs than most. But it's not in any aggressive or active manner. Once frayed, the fabric then forms a slight hole/slit that eventually becomes too thin to restitch. I've tried patching these areas, but it looks too odd, especially since it's at the buttocks area. Sadly, while the rest of the pants still would look new, the slacks become useless once the fabric breaks down. This is why I gave it 4 Stars. I hope 5.11 reinforces these sections with tougher fabric, like they do for the knee area. ... show more
