I have had this set for over a year now and they have held up nicely. I bought a cheaper set because I have 5 kids and as a family of 7, we needed more than one set of silverware to last us for more than one meal a day. The silverware will bend if you are rough with it (trying to scoop frozen ice cream with a spoon, for example), but as this set is at the lower end of the price point, I was not expecting indestructible flatware! The picture is of the new spoon vs. an older spoon from my last set from another seller...As you can tell the spoon from this set is still very shiny, and still none of the silverware hasn't been chipped or damaged yet, kudos for that! This silverware set is so beautiful! A ridiculously great bargain for the amount of utensils you get and how nicely they are packaged. They are very shiny and even with quite a bit of use, they are still just as new looking as when they arrived!!! They still retain that beautiful shine after multiple washes and the sets uniformity (I also had no defectiv09e utensils upon arrival). The polished shine was a fantastic choice, and it definitely made them very easy to clean. This set is very sturdy and very durable too, as they don't bend over backwards when using the silverware to scoop like most sets I've purchased have. The only downside is that all the utensils are packaged individually so you have to have some patience as you unwrap. However, there is a great reason for this, it stops them from causing issues or damage to each other during shipping. ^_^ ... show more
