This desk is great quality for the price. Assembly was easy and instructions were very straightforward. Packaging seemed very protective and despite a gouge on the box, the pieces inside were undamaged. My only gripe is that because the design allows for the shelves to be placed on the left or right of the desk, there are a number of unfilled holes in the metal frame that are left exposed. Bolts used are also highly visible (see photos). A trip to the hardware store for plastic plugs will resolve the exposed holes. I'd say a kids room, this is a great option.     • Conquering the Corner: My Take on This L-Shaped Desk

Let's face it, working from home can be a challenge. Especially when your "office" is the corner of the dining room table. I was tired of juggling laptops, coffee mugs, and paperwork, so I decided to invest in a proper desk. This 47-inch L-shaped desk caught my eye, and I figured it was time to take back my workspace. Now, I'm not gonna lie, I was a bit intimidated when the box arrived. It was huge! But assembly turned out to be surprisingly straightforward. The instructions were clear, and all the parts were labeled. Even a guy like me, who's not exactly a DIY expert, managed to put it together in an afternoon. The desk itself is solid. It's made of real wood, not that flimsy particle board stuff. It feels sturdy and well-built, and the rustic brown finish gives it a classic look that fits in with the rest of my furniture. The L-shape is perfect for my needs. I've got plenty of space for my computer, monitors, and all my work essentials. The hutch is great for keeping things organized, and the shelves are adjustable, so I can customize the space to fit my needs. No more clutter! The only thing I'm not crazy about is the keyboard tray. It's a bit shallow for my liking, and I find myself bumping my knees on it from time to time. It's not a deal-breaker, but it's something to consider if you're a taller guy like me. Overall, I'm really happy with this desk. It's transformed my workspace and made working from home a lot more comfortable and productive. One of the better-designed tables I've constructed. It has good screws, and everything was well-packaged to protect it. It took about an hour to assemble, with clear instructions for placing shelves on either side. It feels very stable, even holding a 70-pound portable air conditioner, and is great for organizing smaller items with the shelves. My only complaint is that the two pieces of "wood" don't quite line up where the shelf meets the main piece, and the color wasn't as dark as I hoped. For $75, it's a decent deal, easy to assemble, and seems like it would be durable for years to come. ... show more
