These tub and hair stoppers were exactly what I was looking for after moving into my new apartment. Being an older unit the bathtub is about the same age and was in need of some help to stop the drain’s slow leak. The stopper worked perfectly and the material it’s made out of was a substantial weight. The hair catcher was the same, however because my tub has a slight curved incline near the drain’s edge it did not sit completely flush so some hair did escape. As for the those that didn’t it’s because this hair stopper really works well, almost too well in fact. Trying to pull the wet hair off is a bit of a chore and kinda gross to be honest. Collection was a bit easier after the hair dried but chances of the smaller hairs shaking loose were greater. Overall, happy with the product as it indeed did what it was supposed to do.

We ordered this set primarily for the stoppers, though the hair catchers really do a great job catching both short and long hair in the shower. We have a wonderful, large, old porcelain sink with a unique, off-sized drain, the mechanical stopper for which is difficult to find. Enter these silicon stoppers. We tested the gray one by laying it over the sink drain hole and turning on the faucet. From the very second the water began flowing, the stopper had already formed a tight suction that prevented the filling water from leaking out (see the photos). After we filled the sink with water, we let the water sit in the sink for 1/2 hour to see how well the stopper would do its job. After 1/2 hour, we could not see any measurable reduction in the water volume. The stopper had worked perfectly. In fact, you have to use some force pulling up on the nub on the stopper to actually move it away from the drain...a good sign that the stopper has done what it was supposed to do. One stopper is now permanently by the kitchen sink and the other a permanent fixture in the utility room's sink. Stoppers that do the job at a great price are certainly worthy of purchase.

I bought this set primarily for the hair catchers. They work pretty well, but if your shower set up is like mine & you turn the shower off, and then the faucet, you might still get some hair down the drain. This didn't really have the capability to suction to the floor of the tub surrounding the drain. Even so, far less hair ended up down the drain than if I were to wash my hair without it.

The tub stoppers really work! The tub stopper sucks onto any flat surface. However, it does not suck and lie flat if the drain is too close to the front of the tub. You will need about 3" or more from the front of the tub. The tub stopper is great for use in my kitchen sink since my sink has a center drain. The hair catcher is not good because it has too many knobs and ridges for the hair to get caught on. Thus, it is very tedious to remove the hair that is caught in this hair catcher. I had to go back and use my original metal OXO Good Grips shower drain catcher that has weight to hold it down without it floating in the water and its smooth metal makes it very easy to remove the hair.
