Got this for my great nephew for Christmas after purchasing a ukulele for him last year. Our family members play guitar almost every gathering. Let alone Xmas. So I got him one to get him going. His face was so happy until giving it a strum. Happy face was genuine in deflated into a confused abyss of wondering why it sounded that way. This we tuned as soon as it got here and packed it back up. Nylon strings are great to learn how to practice tuning and coordination between moving, listening, and learning more about making sounds. This isn't pingy like metal strings. It's a soothing sound that feels good to play and continue listen for the tune 15-20.. minutes of play as he continues to learn. Easier on the ears for him and everyone else to listen to as well. Best learning guitar 😁. The tuning accessories are perfect. The case is great too for keeping it all together in one place. Portable between parents houses too. Should he want to bring it places. Mom and dad can both use the tuner to help him learn. So Al in all I would give this a 10 star if available. I got the brown and natural looking one. It's good enough to learn on and if it gets thrashed around it'll be easier to replace than a steel wrapped corded guitar. This is how guitars started! The strings are low quality and we immediately replaced them as instructed by the teacher. Overall and for $55.00 this guitar and case are a bargain. It is not a toy, and it is just right for a grand who is not sure this is an interest that will last. I would order this again.

Absolutely love this guitar!! I purchased it in the left-handed version and I am extremely impressed. Specifically, considering the price I thought this guitar would be like a toy or for a child. However, I was wrong! This guitar is well made, arrived well packaged and with replacement strings, a pic, guitar strap, and a few other things I can’t remember lol. You get three brass strings EA & D, and three nylon strings GB & E. I was so ready to read five stars however, I’m giving four stars because, my only complaint is that one of the strap connectors broke off about three months after purchasing, and sometimes I have trouble tuning the A string but other than that this is a wonderful option for a beginner, as well as an experienced player who may need a to practice on the go, but isn’t willing to take their expensive guitar and risk damage. I bought this guitar about a month ago for my sons birthday, this is his first guitar, and it has been so fun! He has had so much fun learning to play! I was a little hesitant when purchasing because of some of the negative reviews, and I’m so glad I took the leap and purchased it! The guitar was packaged very well and protected nicely! There were some complaints about that, so I was so nervous, but my box was in perfect condition and the guitar was inside two boxes with plastic and air pacs around it for protection, so I’m unsure how any others would have been so badly damaged, anyways it comes with everything a beginner needs when first starting out and it makes it so easy to get started! I think they should have maybe included some instructions on how to use the tuner because for a real beginner we were clueless, but nothing a simple search on YouTube can’t help with :) that would be my one and only complaint, which is so minor! Definitely worth the money!! My son cried when he opened this, he’s been asking for a guitar since his last birthday, I just wasn’t sure if he was ready, this year he most definitely was and I’m so glad I found this specific one and that I did not listen to the negative reviews! The media could not be loaded. I bough this guitar for my son because he said he wants to learn how to play. I got it for him for Christmas, but I should have checked it out myself before giving it to him and disappointing him after getting him all excited about his first guitar. The neck is so bent, a lot of the frets touch the strings. All it does is make a vibrating dissonant sound, and you can’t even tell if you’re tuning it. This is very sad that right out of the box, the guitar is unplayable. The icing on the cake is when I took out the tuner and attached it to the headstock like shown in the pictures, the stupid thing snapped and broke. I’m not sure if anything will be done about this being broken and unplayable right out of the box. I would take it in to a guitar shop and have the neck fixed but that would cost more than the guitar is worth. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS unless you like having your kids disappointed on Christmas. ... show more
