I was told by many to use the plastic ones because the cheap metal ones don't work properly, but I have vintage machines and it just didn't feel right. I've had no problem with these across different machines and manufacturers. I've noticed you can buy 2 bobbin cases for about $7-$8, a bobbin case and a few bobbins or 3 bobbin cases with 15 bobbins for that price. Treat yourself. Get the 3 and 15 deal. Got these for my 1960s Emdeko JA-21. As I understand it, my little stitcher was made by Toyota, and marketed in the US by Emdeko. Thought it might be an issue to find a good bobbin, seeing as the plastic pieces in store were off, and some other bobbins I found were off as well, in a completely different way. These fit everywhere, great. Fit onto the bobbin winder, and wound fine, and then fit into the side loading bobbin, holder is allowing stitching, with good tension. ... show more
