I always drag my feet on changing the air purifier filters because, having a long-haired pup and 3 purifier units constantly running in the house, filter changes feel brutal on the pocketbook... but a few years ago, I started using generic filters instead of always buying name brand, and that's helped make the seasonal filter changing a little less painful. At $24, these filter are nearly half the price of the original filters ($44 at time of review). And you get three carbon filters while the original only comes with one. These generic filters are a perfect fit, and have been working well for a couple of weeks. It's easy to nitpick and compare generic filters to name brand, but to me, if the quality is comparable enough, and the price is right, I'm a happy buyer. It's not unreasonable to deduct one star from the rating for the minor difference in quality BUT I also feel that the affordability helps to get me to actually change the filters when they're due instead of forever snoozing on the task, and that's worth at least a star in itself.

To the extent that I as a normal person could tell, the quality of these as well as the fit is identical to the original filter that came with my air purifier. I don't have any reason to suspect that these don't filter as well as the OEM equivalent, so I'm giving this five stars. The cost savings are significant compared to the original equipment filters, so I recommend giving third-party manufacturers a try.

Easy to replace

We have two Coway AirMega 200M air purifiers that we run all the time. Coway charges $58 for one new HEPA filter and two charcoal filters. This set gives you 3 HEPA filters for $38--a tremendous savings, but you do have to buy the charcoal filters separately. The fit is great. In my pictures you can see one of the new filters with an authentic Coway filter that came out of our unit. The filters look similar in design and in the density of the folds. The new filters have nothing printed on them, not even the air flow direction icon. In my second picture you see how you can use the tabs on the left and right to identify the incoming air side. The tabs face the outside of the unit when installed, just like the original design. I have been running these filters in the units and don't notice any difference over the original Coways.

This is another filter that works great in the Coway units, like all the other filters, I have no definitive way of testing other than my allergies and my general well being. So these works great and fit great for a great price.

Apparently, it's not too much to ask for a less expensive but equally effective replacement filter for one of my favorite appliances. These will do nicely.

I have coway air purifiers. I have both the 1512hh & airmega 200 models. They're essentially the same but with different front plates. These knockoff brand HEPA filters fit just as well as the more expensive brand name filters. These deserve a good rating.
