Works. I no longer get hit with supersonic water droplets when using my "garage AC". Jokes aside, I used this with an HVLP spray gun and enamel/oil paints and didn't see any droplets, but I'm no expert and my jobs didn't need perfection. I would suggest a disposable inline filter after this one if I were, say, painting a car, but for dump beds on work trucks, gates, fences, wheelbarrows, etc, this worked great. For non-painting applications it's just awesome. My high volume, high pressure tools don't exhaust water through every orifice anymore. (Impacts, hammers, needle scalers, die grinders etc.) The reservoir doesn't fill quickly, even in humid Georgia. My dumb compressor triggered it's pressure release one night and it stuck open (causing the compressor to run constantly until I got to it) and the reservoir was only mostly full. Downsides: kinda annoying to secure in place so the hose doesn't stress it. With the adapters it adds a like 8" after my inline shutoff valve. I'll print a bracket for it this winter. Thanks!

Does what it is intended to do to keep the airline from getting moisture. Added this as a second dryer just to be sure when painting. Pricing and quality are very good. All right.

miniature separator, made for small set up like air brush? Not for a 60 gal. tank automotive work. It is a quality made item but for smaller applications

Installed this on a small compressor because its 110v & portable but realized that the old disposable ball water separator was doing as much (or more) water filtering than the AIRZONE. Forget paint here, when it's filtering by itself I'm not satisfied with its water separation for tools. I would never consider using it without a ball filter even for an impact, die grinder, & etc. Rebooted that old little compressor partly for the option of finishing small tasks without always having to run up my 60 gal stationary tank. Was also hoping to only need a disposable filter when painting. The AIRZONE is trapping some water (on the mobile 10 gal) but to me it's not dry enough on its own.

The polycarbonate bowl on My 15 year old water separator started leaking and I needed a quick cost effective replacement. This 1/2" NPT one met my expectations with its aluminum body, sintered brass filter, polycarbonate bowl and zinc plated steel guard. It installed easily with basic hand tools and I had my system back up and running in minutes. Functions as expected and no more leaks. Very happy with the quality of this unit.

It seems to work good, but note that when the pressure drops to a low point the drain opens and allows the air to blow out of the water collector. Thats fine and good, but you need a compressor that will build up pressure fast when turned on, or you wont be able to get the collector drain to close up again. So dont size up to a big dryer for your tiny compressor, youll have problems.

This thing leaked from the drain valve immediately out of the box. When I took it off my compressor The threads were damaged after one use installation. Do not buy this cheap garbage. Spend the money for something quality
