  • I bought for Logitech Brio, but how to attach?
This stand is good, but a bit shaky. I purchased this for the Logitech Brio, but when I looked at the Brio, I couldn't figure out how in the world to attach it to this stand. The answer is totally unintuitive. The Brio has a baseplate that wraps around a computer laptop screen allowing the webcam to perch on the laptop screen. There is NO OBVIOUS way to remove this. Here is the deal: The baseplate has a rubber plug on the top that plugs into the bottom of the Brio where its 1/4" hole is. You cannot "unscrew," or "slide," or "twist." You have to pull straight out on the Brio from the baseplate. I used a flathead screwdriver to gently pry the two apart. I can easily see someone breaking the Brio trying to get the baseplate off. I also tried pulling off a "stick on" plastic cover on the bottom of the baseplate, just below the connection to the Brio. This reveals a screw; however, this led to nothing. The screw, screws out but in no way disconnects the Brio from the baseplate. Finally I saw someone on YouTube with this same issue demonstrate how to disconnect the Brio from the baseplate. Never would have guessed in a million years. The effort makes you think you are going to break the Brio, that is why I used a flathead screwdriver to gently pry instead of pulling. ... show more

  • Quality item, but shakes a lot
It was exactly what I was looking for... love the range of motion and the flexibility it has. But any slight movement or touch on the desk that it is clamped on... the camera will move all over the place... my viewers have asked... it looks like I'm going through an earthquake with the amount of shaking that occurs... ... show more

  • A Bit Finicky to set up but not bad
I am not sure what I expected from this but it does exactly what it is advertised to do. It's a flexible arm with a camera mount on the end. My desk top is a full 1.5" thick and the clamp more than accommodates that (I think it will go out to just over 2") and the camera mount has a standard thread and adjustment knob. The pivot is easily removed by taking off the collar nut (hand tighten only) and it does support the weight of a small web cam without much issue. It is a bit fussy to set. The ball mount on the end is a bit awkward but does adjust through a pretty wide range of motion. It does NOT have a pan movement, though and the little handle that is supposed to emulate the adjustment arm on a tripod is kind of like a screen door on a submarine. Since the entire arm (which is pretty long) is effectively one long joint, it's really fiddly to get the camera in the correct position and angle and any adjustment that you need to make means a bunch more fiddling. Plus Side: It's flexible. It can be routed around obstacles on your desk or in your workspace. This is super convenient. I can clip it to the desk behind my monitor stand and run the arm around to any spot. Also once you do get the thing positioned, it does not sag. It's pretty solid once placed. We'll see if that loosens up over time. Down Side: it's flexible. It's not like a rigid arm and if you have to move the camera a lot or if you have a bigger camera you will probably want a traditional arm or tripod. It has no fixed points to articulate from, so while this give tremendous flexibility in position choice, it also means sometimes you have to fight with it to get just the right position. Overall, worth the money. For a sub-$20 mounting option and/or if you need to mount a camera in a weird position, this will definitely work for you and is worth the small cost. ... show more

  • Good quality and features but with some design related downsides
FIRST IMPRESSIONS: It is a good quality product, and it was easy to install the Logitech Brio camera, make the necessary adjustments to put it in position (rotate, tilt, etc). However, by the nature of its design, it is prone to vibration. So, if you are in a video-call and you lean on your desk or type something, etc, it vibrates for a while. So, I had to lean it on top of my monitor to reduce vibration. Therefore, depending on the user's web cam, that may make this stand unnecessary. In the case of the Logitech BRIO, it is still useful, because its standard mount/stand does not rotate horizontally, and this stand adds that capability. So, for me it works. ... show more

  • Very sturdy, good clamp, but for a web cam it is hard to get in the exact position
I love the gooseneck arm, the clamp is sturdy and secure, the gooseneck is long and I can place the web cam where ever I need it. The only downside is adjusting it in small increments. That is mainly because of the long neck on it. SO if you need better adjustment, get a smaller one that is the exact size you need. If you are using this for a ring light PERFECT!! You will have no trouble at all. I am using mine for a web cam on an Ender3 Pro printer https://amzn.to/3rf5UQs with the upgraded Ender Silent main board https://amzn.to/3K94D62 I have a Raspberry Pi connected using OctoPrint and the web cam allows me to monitor the printing via a web page as well as get time lapse videos for my prints. The position of the web cam is a little important so that I get all the area being printed. Although this one is tough to line up. It can be done and again is a very sturdy design. You can see the arm on the left side of the picture with the web cam attached. I'll be adding this arm to the web cams on the 3 new Ender 3 v2 printers at our makerspace at Makersmiths in Leesburg, VA. ... show more

  • weak materials - probably avoid
This camera mount is generally very good. The gooseneck is pretty sturdy, but is a bit prone to vibration of the desk you attach it to. That's kind of expected since the neck is so long. But the biggest problem is that the plastic nut meant to lock the camera mount is too flimsy and it breaks easily when you try to tighten the camera mount. This makes the whole thing useless. Buy something else or plan to spend some time rebuilding the mounting bracket.9 ... show more

  • Ok for light webcam
I purchased this product for my Logi C920 webcam. The webcam is kind of heavy which kept the stand leaning forward. Didn’t worked with my 10” ring light either. I would only recommend this product for small webcams.
