Assembly was easy. It comes with everything you need to put it together. The remote control feature is much better than I expected. It actually uses a motor to turn the steering wheel. My only complaint is that it’s no bigger than any other wal-mart power wheels. The kids in the pictures on Amazon are photoshopped and shrunk to make the jeep look bigger than it really is. Don’t get me wrong, it’s big enough, just annoying that they would try and deceive people that way. The reason we paid so much for it is we thought it was big. Got it for my daughter’s sixth birthday and after I built it was actually worried it may be too small. The shoulder strap is too short for her, and she’s average size according to her checkup. I’d say this is more for a 5 and under aged kid if you want to buckle them up. The 24v battery is nice, but the thing does seem underpowered. It gets up to speed slow, seems like no torque. My older kids had power wheel gators, and those things would spin the wheels when you hit the gas. This one slowly gets up to speed. It does have a steel frame under it, so that’s a worth a few dollars over wal-mart’s version. The kid loves how it looks though, and she doesn’t notice the slow starts so that’s good enough for me. Just not sure I’d have paid premium dollars when it’s really not much different from big box store versions that are half the price.

We bought this for a 4 year old and a 2year old. The 4 year old loves driving it independently. We use the remote control with the 2 year old. It has three speeds and enough power to drive on the grass without a problem. The remote control is easy to use and a wonderful feature. Easy to assemble.
