Used this product (24 inch by 10 feet) to black out the back of a new 125 gallon aquarium. Thankfully I purchased this product in an extra size. I needed 19 inches by 6 feet. When rolled out there were a few creases like someone sat on the roll, and one large gash about a foot long. This didn't end up being an issue as I needed to cut 4 feet off this roll anyway, but that last 4 feet is unusable in any application I might use it for if in a highly visible area. The part I did use on my tank, worked well, and the quality is just what one would expect.

I ordered this a while back and am just now getting to use it. As soon as I opened the box I knew I was in trouble. The vinyl came tightly rolled in the opposite direction that it was originally placed on the roll from the factory. I’m sure he seller is just cutting off sections from a larger roll and shipping them out. Vinyl is rolled so that the vinyl is facing the outside and rolled in roughly a 3” diameter. This assures that the vinyl lays on the cutter correctly assuring the best cut possible and makes it easier to work with in all stages of vinyl processing....cut, weed, transfer tape. The vinyl I received from the seller was in a 1” diameter roll and had been rolled with the vinyl facing inside. This leads to the vinyl not sitting flat on the cutter and causes incomplete cuts and stray cuts and scrapes. It also makes weeding and applying transfer tape an absolute nightmare. I’m only using now because I’m in a pinch and needed to use it or else I would have asked for a return. Oracal 651 is a dynamite product, wish I could say the same for the seller. Last picture with tan vinyl is to show how it’s supposed to be shipped.

The media could not be loaded. I read other review before buying this roll. Most people had problems with wrinkling, damage etc. Mine came just fine and trick to remove the sheet from the backing is to pre-cut the sheet you want and apply little by little. I used this as a back ground for 55 gal fish tank and it was easy to apply when soap water is sprayed to the glass and peel of the adhesive sheet little by little. Fist I tried to remove a large are, but sheet stick itself and it was useless as you cannot remove once it stuck itself.

Love Oracal- that’s not the issue. If I had paid attention I never would have purchased again from this seller. They roll the vinyl so tightly that it buckles... every time. I usually avoid this seller like the plague, but I was in a bind and didn’t look at everything I should have. My fault there. I’ve posted this before and each time I screw up I will post it again. STOP rolling your vinyl so tightly. It’s awful.

Typically Oracal 651 comes to me just fine. This time however, it was packaged with masking tape wrapped around the entire roll in 2 spots holding it from unraveling. Usually it's just a little piece. In doing this, it ruined the first 16x 24 inches of vinyl. Completely unusable due to the imprint/defect that the tape left behind. I peeled it very carefully hoping it wouldn't lift and stretch the vinyl as well, and unfortunately in some spots that was unavoidable. I guess this review is more for the packaging style vs the quality of the product. Product is fine, easy to work with as always, however the packaging method with all that tape directly on the vinyl, is sub par.

I ordered 3 colors. All were not cut straight. They were also tightly rolled backwards with paper outward. They were not freshly cut and from the color of the masking tape and dust, I'd say these were cut a while ago... I was disappointed that I had to waste excess on my first cuts as it wants to spool the wrong direction out the other end... The colors were SPOT on with what I ordered and great quality material wise. The stink from rolls is that close to a skunk but I think that's the PVC or higher material smell.

I’ve been working with Vinyl for about 15 years now. I’ve never worked with a worse vinyl. Packaging was awful. Lost a bit of vinyl because the shipping sticker was stuck to it. Was so difficult to weed. When I finally did get it all weeded, it wouldn’t stick to the transfer tape with out some of the white backing sticking to the back if the images. The vinyl says Oracal on the back but it seems different from any Oracal I’ve ever used before. Why does the box say “Orafal”. I’ve bought generic vinyl that was cheaper and better than this! I wasted so much time messing with this.

This product didn’t come in an Oracle 651 box it was just the roll inside of a amazon box. The box was open as if someone was looking in it. The roll wasn’t damaged but it didn’t come with any instructions whatsoever! When I purchase vinyl from a retail store it comes in the package with instructions on it. I did buy another roll from this seller so I am hoping the product is what I am expecting. The price is great for the type of vinyl it is however because of the package and how I received it I don’t think that this is brand named Oracle 651!
