  • Great Year Round Tire for Maine, Just bought my second set
(Original review June 5, 2018} I live in Maine and prefer an all weather tire rather than to swap snow and summer tires. Those with similar views know there aren't a lot of snow rated (3PMSF) tires like this out there. I had been using Nokian WRG3 for years, and while I like the winter traction, they are a bit noisy and not the best tread wear. So I bought a set of these Goodyear WeatherReady. I have only had them a week, but they are much quieter. Traction is good and the tread wear rating is much higher. So I am happy at the moment and plan to update this review as time goes on. Update 21Dec2019: I have now owned these 18 months, and 18,0000 miles. There is 60% of the original thread- 6/32". We have had a few snowstorms this season and I remain happy with the traction, handling and quiet ride. Update 14May2021. At 25000 miles, there is still 6/32" tread remaining. Final Update, 23Oct2023. Just bought a new set since winter is coming and the thread was down to 3/32".. They could have gone longer in fair weather. While rated at 60K, I have never owned a tire that met their wear rating. Anyway, I remain delighted, and just bought my second set for my 2015 Camry. The new tires seam even better. They are quiet, steering is easy and still 3PMSF! looking forward to the next 44K! ... show more

  • Awesome tires!
These tires are just a tad louder than my stock Michelins and run a little short (about 2 mph) in speed compare to them; however, they are a lot better than the Michelins in the snow. I wouldn't hesitate to get another set of these tires for any of my other cars. I would give these tires a 5 star if they run just a bit quieter. ... show more

  • Buyer beware --- poorest quality control I have EVER had in a tire
I've been driving for over 30 years and never have I had a tire brand model so poorly manufactured. I purchased these tires in May, 2020 at a local BJ's. After approximately 14,000 miles one tire developed a bubble in the sidewall and got replaced under warranty. Now after approximately 39,000 miles another tire is COMING APART IN THE INNER SIDEWALL. I have never seen anything like this before. I got onto a highway today and immediately noticed vibration and my low tire pressure light came on. Pulled over, one tire was down to 13 PSI, but I couldn't hear or see anything sticking in the tire. I filled up the tire and drove it home on side streets. After I took it off the car I saw a massive tear on the inside of the tire (see pics)! This tear is obviously not from any road object, but a manufacturing defect as you can see in the pics where the tire is not yet torn there are cracks the same distance from the rim on the entire circumference of the tire indicating it is about to tear in that location as well. The tire was manufactured in Chile in 4419 (i.e. the 44th week of 2019). Sadly the tire from BJ's only comes with a 3 year, 30,000 mile warranty so I will have to go to Goodyear directly for a pro-rated refund. This will likely be the last Goodyear tire I ever purchase (at least ones made in Chile). Does Goodyear even make any of their tires in USA anymore? ... show more
