I gave them a one star because some of the lights come on as soon as it gets dusk. The truck is sitting still not running. Lights stay on all night. It's a shame because they look great at night and were easy to put on. They worked great for the first 5 months and now I look silly pulling into work with 2-3 out of 5 lights working. Now I've got to remove them.

Overall pretty decent. Make sure if you have a sun roof to use shims. Install was pretty straightforward and easy. Appearance is great happy with how they turned out. Pretty bright too. Make sure you let them charge in the sun a few hours before you install them and test them out before you slap them on.

2026 Upgrade Solar Cab Lights for Trucks - No Drill Roof LED Marker Lights with Vibration Sensor | Solar Powered Waterproof Clearance Lights for Semi Truck, Pickup by Chviva: $54.99. Took on a 140 mile trip ((total to and fro), so far so good. Out of the box. ------ It was double boxed, nothing was cracked or broken, but I could see if it was dropped hard, it could result in a outer lens crack, but mine were fine. Maybe one suggest is they pack a little material in between each lite, like a small strip of card board. I chose to only install 2 of the lights, the other 3 I saved in case I want to use later. All 5 lights work ok out of the box, turned on when I pressed the switch - figured they had a little left over power in em. The inside of the lens seemed to have millions of tie specs of dust or scratches, but so faint and small - the slight defect was not a bother and not noticeable from a few feet away. The lights seemed bright enough, but not overly bright which to me is. good thing so as not to blind oncoming traffic. I am not sure why it came with five small quarter moon shaped tape, even the paper instructions in the box do not explain it well. Not feeling the construction to be very strong or sturdy, thus "car washes and severe weather elements will be a test". The light is completely flat 180 degrees, thus if your roof is flat, it may stay on, but if your roof is curved, it will not stick, but get knocked off, the whole item must make contact for the tape to work ok. My roof is curved at the front, but a "few inches back" from he front it's more flat - not my preferred spot, but it was much flatter. The outer roof of my car is not 100% smooth but has some tiny texture, so I'm a bit worried the adhesive might not stick as well as hoping it will. Bulbs: Vibration activated, thus you have less control. but can be convenient, simple act of open close a door will activate the light, you will not be stealthy, but if still, turns off in few min. I consider it a safety feature - as if ever a crook fumbles with your car - if you are facing your car from way - you can see the lights are on. Even if cloudy or raining, or on a slight dim garage, or tunnel, or night they "will turn on", they only turn off in the day time partly sunny or brighter outside. Easy, convenient; Overall, I like them. Glad to try this new safety item and like the look.

This was my second set of roof lights (solar). Not the same brand, but much the same results. Seems like when you order a set of 5, you only can expect 4 of them to work properly. And this set actually has two lights that are bad. One doesn't light up to the same brightness as the others and the second one doesn't hold a charge. These don't have the remote control, so you can't control when you want them on or off. The "gravity" sensors are iffy at best. They don't like to turn on all together, which means the inner workings of these lights probably have not gone through a very rigorous inspection. Three stars is being generous.

1. They’re not ideal for GMC Sierra unless you want to place them a bit further back. 2. Condensation is a constant problem. 3. The vibration sensor isn’t properly tuned. They’ll turn on from rain or wind constantly hitting the truck and triggering them - hence why 4 out of 5 of mine are almost completely off when it’s running and the last one is noticeably dim.
