    • Nice fast gaming laptop but battery not so much
This laptop runs The Sims 4 and Phasmophobia really well. The fan does get really loud and the laptop does get pretty warm too. I did have trouble with Skyrim, FPS issue I have to figure out. Now the battery is not so great. It will not stay fully charged. Sometimes it says 99% plugged in or even right now it's at 92% plugged in. Also the fact that the battery is inside the laptop is a drawback to me. I think this laptop was made in 2019?? Oh well still runs better than my non-gaming dinosaur laptop lol. ... show more

I’ve always wanted a gaming laptop, and I’m really glad I got this one. Only thing is the battery life could be a bit better, especially while playing Minecraft. I just keep it plugged in while doing so. Otherwise, the RAM is great! I have a bookbag perfect for transporting it wherever I go.

    • Do not risk it!!
I invested on this computer for school. It was a big purchase for me but it had what I needed in order to run the programs for my degree. Everything worked perfectly during the first months… However, 2 months after the initial purchase the screen started flickering when I tried controlling the brightness on battery power. It would only work if the computer was plugged in. A few days later, the screen stopped working completely, I couldn’t control the brightness even if it was plugged into power. The only way I could get this computer to be functional was if it was connected to a second screen. This completely defeated the purpose of getting a laptop and limited my ability to take this computer to school. By the time this issues arose, the return window had passed so now I had to figure out a different way to fix this issue. When I bought this computer, I purchased the insurance offered by Amazon. When I contacted insurance, they redirected me to ASUS since my warranty was supposed to still cover it. Now that I contacted ASUS I am facing more challenges getting this computer to be functional again because through the serial number they said this computer was purchased from Best Buy, which are lies because I purchased from Amazon. I am now having to submit to ASUS my Amazon Invoice to see if I can get this computer serviced. This puts me not only at risk of not completing my school work, but also at risk of loosing the $1k that I spent in this computer if I can’t get it to be funcional again. Now that I shared my experience, please DO NOT RISK IT. Please go buy somewhere else. I’ll update again on how things go when I have an answer. *UPDATE* Computer was fixed by ASUS. It took 2 months. I heard from the seller by the time the computer was already with ASUS. I am going to emphasize… PLEASE LOOK SOMEWHERE ELSE. The box that I received was another computer’s box and this is why I was having issues with the serial number and ASUS initially. Seller put the computer I bought in another computer’s box. Additionally, I purchased a 1TB computer and I received a 500GB. I found this out when I went in to check for my storage and it is too late for me to get this fixed and what I actually purchased.     • Finally got the computer... screen has lines in it... great...
The media could not be loaded. So I got my computer today and first thing I notice is lines on my screen. Great. Its broken. And I didn't buy a warranty since I was already paying more than my first intital purchase of this computer which was 1059.99 after tax and shipping. Cute little prank after saying the arrival date was the 24th only to change the "arriving" to "we'll send you an email when this item is back in stock".... when there was 16 left at the time. It is in stock, you just don't want to sell it for 50 dollars less than it is now. But whatever. I cancel the first order, buy the new price, it arrives earlier than expected. Good. Only to find ITS DEFECTIVE!!! ..... I'm choosing not to return it because who knows when I'll get the new one and if that will be in new condition. And I can't pay any kind of shipping for such a heavy computer if that'll be a thing. The computer itself as it runs is good, just that pisses me off after what I went through just to GET the stupid computer... ... show more

    • For the money, I think you can get something better
When purchasing laptops above 1k, I would expect a little better build quality. speaker blew within first week, mousepad is lackluster. Now, the specs and system are great. Runs as expected for specs. but the plastic build and cheap parts when it comes to everything else made me unhappy with this laptop. spend the extra 600 on something more quality ... show more
