If you doubt vacuum storage bags, and you need some extra motivation, here’s my review. I’m currently moving and I needed to condense my clothing and some of the bedding that I’m taking. Enter these bags. The first large bag contents (all plus size): A winter pea coat, 3 swimsuits sets, 2 sarongs, 5 skirts, 4 tank tops, & 3 tops. This felt like it weighed about 20 pounds. (Caveat: weight is just a best guess.) 2nd large bag: one queen size plush blanket and 2 throw blankets. **Both of these large sized ones fit in one side my 27” suitcase. 3rd medium bag: This is my super plush back pillow. I forgot to take a before pic, so here’s screenshot from my Amazon order a year ago…but check out how small it got. Lol 😆 I had no issues with the pump attachment nor sealing the bags. (The dog was interested in what was happening! Ha!) If anything happens during storage or they deflate prematurely before being transported to my destination, I’ll change my review. These bags saved my trip! I was able to pack so much more into my car for my move. I highly recommend if you're packing, or even just doing spring cleaning, to pick up some of these bags. A certain number that's included do not have the vacuum feature, but rather are just large Ziploc bags. They were still useful, as I simply squeezed as much air out as I could. Make sure you seal the bag by pinching tightly in the included blue seal clips or you'll get air back in the bag, even if ever so slowly. It does start to give you a little arm workout, if you have a lot of bags to fill. In that case, it may be advisable to select an option that offers electronic sealing as opposed to the hand pump these come with. That didn't bother me really, but just to keep it in mind. :) ... show more

It seems that one of the extra large storage bags does not hold the seal! I'll vacuum seal the bag and 48hrs later.....the bag reinflates itself! That constitutes a defect in the bag! There are no punctures or tears anywhere and these bags came right out of the box and were filled. No matter how many times I vacuum seal the bag, it reinflates! That would be evident in the last (2nd) picture. I had to purchase a separate box of just extra (XL) storage bags to replace the one that doesn't keep sealed and to store some other clothing items in. As you can see, these are all clothes, one has meds and toiletries inside but has not lost its seal! ... show more

We are moving overseas and have been taking several trips over the course of the year to bring over clothing and soft goods in our luggage. These bags have made the process so much easier by optimizing space so we can take as much as possible on each trip, thus saving us money on our final move as we won’t have as much to have to pack. It’s truly amazing how much we can fit into these sturdy bags and how easy it is to compress the air out with the pump which is included. These appear to work just as they should! I’ve had some clothes in one bag for a couple weeks now and it’s not leaking. I just put my queen sized winter comforter in this and figured I’d take some pics and leave a review. The clips they provide to secure the zipper is very efficient, I just had to run it back and forth a few times. However, if you don’t have a vacuum with a hose then I would not recommend this. They provide a hand pump which I tried but in a large or medium sized bag I think it’d take a very long time, so I just used my vacuum. ... show more

I'm using these vacuum-seal bags for all our camp bedding that isn't a sleeping bag. The bags are thick plastic and the suction hole is mid-way down the bag. Each bag has a double zip-lock to provide a better seal. The vacuum pump easily took a queen size pillow that was about 10" thick and compacted it down to about 1" – see pics. For reference, I used the medium-sized bag for the pillow. The medium-sized bag also perfectly fit a folded 72"x96" soft blanket. In a small bag, I got 2 bath towels, 2 hand towels, and 2 washcloths with room to spare. These 9 items used to take up a full tote but after compacting them down, I have room enough for 2 more blankets, 2 more towels, 2 more hand towels, and 2 more washcloths in that same tote. The pump screws right onto the bags, making it very easy to evacuate the air – no tedious fiddling around with it or trying to hold it together. Also, when you remove the pump, the vacuum seal holds fast even before the cap is screwed back on. The pump doesn't seem that sturdy but I accidentally dropped it on concrete twice and both times I was expecting to see it broken...but it held together and still worked. To make the job a bit quicker, after stuffing a bag and sealing the zip-locks, you can open the suction hole and use your hands to gently apply pressure to the bags to purge excess air before actually using the pump. It's quite a bit faster and your arm muscles will thank you. One tiny issue is that the bags are not marked for size (that I could see) so I had to unfold one bag after another until I found the right size – then, when refolding the unused bags, they didn't really follow the "lines" from the previous folds very well so I wasn't able to get them back to the small footprint they shipped in. To avoid this issue in the future, I marked the bags with an initial to denote the sizes and carefully refolded them so that my marks were still easily visible. You may want to do the same; I used T for tiny, S for small, M for medium, L for large, and J for jumbo. ... show more

I am pleased with these storage bags. It comes with everything you need. I was able to fit a down comforter in the largest size easily. The pump that comes with it works well. You can use the vacuum cleaner with it but the pump is fine. My only complaint is that the bags are not labeled by size. They are separated by size but you have to take them out to see what size they are so it kind of defeats the purpose. Overall, good purchase though. ... show more
