This helmet and Bluetooth is amazing. No, it’s not Bose quality sound, but what can you expect from a in-helmet Bluetooth? For what it is, it’s amazing. Sound quality is good, and volume gets loud enough to hear even on highway rides. The microphone works good on calls, even when tucked behind helmet padding, if your like me and don’t want the long stick out microphone. My only concern with this is buying replacement headphone pieces, because they undoubtably will start to fail after so long. ... show more

I bought two of these bc of the price value and to have Bluetooth capable for me and a passenger. It comes with a spare/additional spoiler, which I did not attach and don’t feel the need to. Airflow on my adventure bike with small windscreen does not require the additional stability. You have to install the Bluetooth yourself, but it’s a straightforward set up with different mic connection options and the ability to switch options later if you choose. I chose to use the adhesive mic on the inside of the faceshied (Vice the bulkier extended mic), which means I cannot open the modular part of the helmet, but the mic is out of the wind at higher speeds. Friends/family report no issue being able to hear me on phone calls and minimal residual noise. The clamp which attaches the control on the side of the helmet doesn’t seem like it’ll hold well since you can physically shift it around even on it’s tightest set up, but after a couple weeks, including long rides and interstate speeds plus taking it on/off to charge, there’s been no issues with it coming loose. Bluetooth: intercom works great and no issue connecting to multiple devices (phone, helmet cam, other helmets, gps). However, while my helmet connects to my phone for music, it will only play to one helmet at a time. Ie, when not using the intercom, I can hear the music but the passenger cannot. Minor annoyance. Fit: bought two L (I measure 22.5”) and they fit slightly different bc of the padding. Both are a little loose, but not in a dangerous way and I feel returning for M would’ve been too small. This is a very good helmet for the price. I've had 300 dollar helmets that didn't function this well. The chin strap is very comfortable, the chin button release is fully covered by the chin damn but is still easily accessible (doesn't let in excess airflow). Looks GREAT in open face mode. The bluetooth unit that comes with it is a cheap unit, but has worked without issues for months now - and the battery life is amazing! Can't beat this setup for the money - I've tried. ... show more

    • Update: Freedconn Bluetooth Failure, Quiet, functional, and the best value modular helmet available

Update June 15, 2021: While I still wear and enjoy the helmet, the Freedconn bluetooth system failed early on. The speakers work, but I can no longer count on the microphone working. I have emailed Freedconn and they have not responded despite the product being well within warranty. Buy another brand of communicator as Freedconn will not take care of product issues with their cheaply made products. I commute by motorcycle and use a variety of modular helmets. This 1storm modular helmet offered the somewhat rare full orange color I have wanted for a long time. I purchased it as a back-up to my LS2 modular helmet, assuming that the LS2 would be the superior helmet. The 1storm seems to be quieter, fits tighter at the front, and gives me more room for speakers or bluetooth earbuds than the LS2. I now wear this helmet more than my much more expensive LS2 lid. Quality wise, I will have to give it six months of constant use to determine how well it will take the commuting punishment. For the price though, this is a steal of a helmet. ... show more

The fit is spectacular I like the fact that I can open the face just by itself so I don’t have to remove my entire helmet every time I go inside a business. Which makes helmet theft an unlikely scenario as well. The Bluetooth is not bad, although it does have a slight hum at high volumes. Call clarity is average. The FM feature is nice too and the charge time isn’t bad. I definitely like the looks and fit of this 1Storm modular helmet and I like the murdered out colorway as well. ... show more

I measured and ordered an XL according to the size table. While I liked the helmet design, it was too small and actually made my head hurt similar to a migraine. I am returning and ordering an XXL. Before the comments roll in, I have been riding and buying various helmets for over 40 years and I consistently take an XL. I understand that snug is good, but painfully tight is not. Adjusting padding was not an option as it would also have required shaving off 1/8" of polystyrene from the brow, thus compromising the integrity of the helmet. ... show more
