    • Baking Beginner's Best Bundle
I just got into cake making and decorating and so I had zero equipment for it at all and I see these baking shows and it takes so many tools for one cake. I thought buying everything I would be expensive until I saw this bundle. This has everything you need and more to decorate your cake like a professional (skills not included). The turn-table it comes with is made of stainless steel and very durable and rotates smoothly. There are so many pastry tips that it's hard to decide which one to use. For me, the cake that I made was a practice cake to test my decorating skills and so I wanted to try as many different pastry tips as I could. This would be very difficult and annoying to do if this kit didn't come with a coupler which allows you to switch out your tips without having to take the tip out of the bag and put a new one in and refill with frosting. Very useful tool. The only 2 minor problems that I had were the pastry tips were made kind of cheap so they do bend easily. Not really a problem; they still work fine, it just bugs me a little. The second problem are the disposable pastry bags are small and, for me, hard to deal with. This kit does come with a washable pastry bag though that works just fine. All in all though I would definitely recommend this kit (and I already have) to people just getting started with cake decorating. All you need is this kit, a couple cake pans, and your creativity and you can start making your beautiful cakes. Good Luck ... show more

    • Buy it for the cake stand!
I have very mixed feelings about this order. This is my first cake decorating set, so some instructions would’ve been nice. Also (as mentioned in previous comments), the piping tip guide is tiny and basically useless. It could just be me, but the coupler doesn’t seem to fit the piping tips. Above everything else, I was really peeved to discover that I’m missing a tip (no. 41). Very poor attention to detail! It also wasn’t packaged very professionally because half of the items were individually wrapped (one of the spatulas, for instance) but others were just thrown in unwrapped (including the other spatula). Despite all of this, I would probably still recommend it. The cake stand alone is worth the hassle. It is amazing! It’s solid, sturdy, metal (easy to clean), spins smoothly, and it has non skid material on the top (ribs in the metal to hold the cake) and on the bottom (rubber-like material to stay on the counter). I’m not thrilled with most of this set, but the cake stand is worth it. ... show more

This kit is an amazing value for the money! The turn table is heavy, well-built, and easy to spin. I was pleasantly suprised to find out that the texture blades where also made of metal. By far an all around amazing value!!

    • Worth the price
The aluminium rotating turntable stand works good, spins freely and easily. The piping tips are a bit really thin metal and may not withstand a whole lot of man handling, but if I were to pay the price for the higher thickness metal tips I would end up paying over double what I paid for the entire kit for just the tips. So I plan on just taking good care of these ones and keep them properly stored in their case and they should last a long time. Odds are good the tips would get lost before they get damaged. Everything else in the kit is standard. The closest thing I got to a complaint is that I got two #8 tips and missing the #19 tip, but in all reality there are enough tips with a close enough look to the #19 tip, I won't miss it. And I doubt those eating the food would say "this decoration wasn't made using a #19 tip!" and if they are maybe you shouldn't be baking. ... show more
