Everyone says 5mm,6mm,7mm,8mm but they are all half a size smaller. Not even like 4.74 or something. So buy accordingly. You want a 5mm then buy a 6mm. I bought a 24" 14K gold 3mm chain from a well known jewelry store for my boyfriend for Christmas but it was too long. We couldn't find a 22" at the store so we decided to return the chain and then my boyfriend found a 22" 14K gold rope chain 5mm that was way bigger but over $100 cheaper. We ordered it and it was here within 3 days (arrived just as Amazon tracked).
