To say this product was confusing from start to finish is an understatement. When I ordered it, I already knew there was a good chance it wouldn’t fit — I’m on the fuller side, and body chains usually run small. But the whole experience was just confusing. When it arrived, it came in a nice display case, which I actually love because I reuse them at my salon to sell small things like hair pins. Normally, though, the item is neatly displayed inside the case. This one wasn’t — it was stuffed into two separate Ziploc bags. That didn’t make any sense. Once I pulled it out, I couldn’t figure out how to put it on. When I finally did, of course, it didn’t fit (not surprising, but still disappointing). The chain does look like the pictures and feels sturdy — I tugged and pulled at it and nothing broke, which is great. It did tangle a bit, which was frustrating, but during untangling I noticed something interesting about its design. There’s a small necklace for your neck and a larger one meant to go around your body. Sadly, that part wasn’t big enough for me. The two are connected by a small chain that’s supposed to run between the breasts. However, that connecting chain is completely removable, making this set three separate pieces of jewelry: a necklace, a body chain that can double as a larger necklace, and a small extender chain you can use with other pieces. All of it feels surprisingly durable — just very, very confusing.
