I needed a dimmer to replace just a switch. This is for my camper. The switch was in a tight spot so I went with this model. Fit was almost perfect for the same hole cut out for the switch. It does turn on and off. When you first turn it on it is the lowest setting for dimness. Wires wire tinned which is a big plus. After hooking it up I tested it before screwing to wall. I had to switch the two power wires and it worked great! I would buy again. ... show more

I thought this was great at first. But now after about 6 months of use the dimmer only works in the 10% position. If I try to turn it up and higher the lights shut off. Now I'm typing this in my dimly lit travel trailer camping for 4 days with almost no light. Buy something else. This one is poor quality. ... show more

    • Done the job in Our Grand Design
Perfect replacement for wall opening in our Grand Design. Dims quite fine. It fits well in the kitchen table are and over the couch in the rear. It would be too bulky for the panel. I used smaller ones in the panel for the awning and main ceiling lights. What a difference!!!

    • Failed after 1 week
Dimmer was fairly easy to install. Needs a ground wire. Dims to about half brightness. Failed after 1 week use while we were camping. Failed in the On position at full brightness. Could not turn off light. Had to remove and not have that light for rest of trip.
