I spent a day with this doohickey and my embroider floss. Super useful to get all the floss organized. I had to use a floss holder on each side to get the winder to stay put but that was fine and no problem. I’d order again. Only a few of the holders weren’t punched just right to fit the winder.

I have only tried to use the winder once (I wound 2 bobbins with it). It doesn't grip and some people have given suggestions for how to work around that but unless you have a good reason for not being able to grip (arthritis, carpal tunnel), it isn't worth it. I do love the plastic bobbins, the paper bobbins I have used get warped and don't lay flat (too tightly wrapped) but I can't do that with the plastic.

The media could not be loaded. It works really well, and I can wind way faster than winding by hand, and easier on my wrist and hands (I have rheumatoid arthritis in both hands). My only complaint is, while it pops onto the bobbin holder box, it did like to come off. This was an easy fix, I just put some medical tape across the base to secure it. (You could use any kind of tape for this) I can actually wind it faster than the video, but it was hard to get the angle right while recording. Definitely recommend.

I started doing Crosstitch and needed to keep track of the thread. This is a great product. I would simply identify the thread with a pencil, and you could still erase it and use it again.

I bought this because I needed the Bobbin Winder, the bobbins are good tho, don't get me wrong, but they don't hold the end of the thread like others I've gotten. You are getting a pretty good deal because they are really cheap, if it was just the price, 5 stars. Again, the bobbins wont keep the end of the thread that easy as others that aren't that cheap, but will hold the thread and it won't easily get loose. The bobbin Winder is a 5 stars btw, cheap, gets the job done, buy if you have a lot of threads.
