Perfect to use with our 4-year-old who just began T-ball.

I picked up these training balls for T-ball. They will work. The balls are harder than I thought they would be. Our T-balls have a little cushion to them. For batting practice off the Tee they will work fine. I probably won't use them for throwing practice only because this is my child's first year in T-ball. My child is working on basic hand-eye-coordination. I'd rather throw the t-balls I have that have a little cushion. These are good quality balls, so we'll have the opportunity to use them for years as we train. I don't recommend for Tee Ball, but do recommend for Baseball. I also like the high visibility yellow color. It makes it easier to find stray balls in the outfield.

The media could not be loaded. Our kiddo has trouble figuring out when to swing as he is usually just a split second too early. It is the same when it comes to catching a ball, as he closes his mitt a split second before the ball hits his mitt. I purchased these hoping that the bright yellow would help his eyes connect when exactly to swing and to close the mitt. Although we have only been using for a little bit, we are starting to see an improvement. The weight of the ball is very similar to a baseball. The ball is able to be gripped better than a baseball due to the dimples, I am thinking. The color is better for visualization. Our son has been playing catch with his dad in the backyard and you can hear that he is catching more balls, as you hear the sound of the ball hitting his mitt. We have a pitching machine, but we have not tried it with the balls yet. We have been hand pitching to our son and he seems to swing more accurately and we are getting more hits on the ball, even if nips that ate fouls. He said this feels better than always strinking out. We are definitely happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend.
