Description

Precautions 1. Put the food to be kept fresh together with the oxygen absorber into a container with low oxygen permeability, such as packaging materials with oxygen permeability lower than 20ml/㎡·24h·25C, KOP/PE, KPET/PE and other composite film packaging Bags or plastic cans, glass cans, tin cans, etc.; 2. Seal the container and the packaging material needs to be evacuated to prevent air from entering. 3. After opening the oxygen absorber package, it is best to use it up within 1 to 2 hours and seal the items to be preserved. If it has not been used up, please expel the air in the original packaging bag in time and reseal it to avoid failure. 4. Do not microwave or eat. Not suitable for products with high water content. 5. The suitable operating temperature of deoxidizer is generally 5-40C: below -5℃, the deoxidation and preservation effect will decrease. 6.     • Good for protecting seeds through the winter

This gets four stars for meeting expectations, for me five stars is something that exceeds my expectations, this meets my expectations which is still very good. At the time of order, the price was $14.99 for 100 packets or $0.15 each which is a good price as long as you can use 10 at a time as they are packed or will reseal them using a vacuum sealer to avoid the packets from losing their effectiveness. I ordered these to protect the seeds from my garden at the end of the season for next year, fresh seeds are important, where I live we have very cold wet winters and lots of humidity in the fall and spring - all of which will impact the seeds. I think if I toss one or two in at least I can help pull out more oxygen to make the container a better home for the seeds. In the spring I bake Easter bread for gifting and will toss a packet into each bag as I bake which will let me bake over a few days in advance instead of just the day before I go see family. My only challenge is to determine what size bag I need for each application - 100, 200 or 500cc. ... show more

This is a great product to have around the house, for all your food storage needs. Just nice to be able to extend shelf life on certain products that, like my freeze-dried fruit! I'm familiar with silica gel packets for keeping foods dry, but this is my first experience with oxygen absorbing packets for keeping down the oxygen content of the air. For one thing they are packed differently, very tightly in 10 airtight packs of 10 each. So it's best if you can use about 10 at a time. From what I understand, oxygen absorbers are packets of iron dust. If there's oxygen in the air, it will attach to the iron particles and they will "rust", thus trapping the oxygen. When the iron powder is rusted, the packet has reached the end of its useful life. I have a bunch of dried spice packets, and I am adding these to each one of those packets. I have used these in the past. I use them to try and keep my bread a little fresher. Also put them with candy sometimes in a container. These seem just fine. Larger than any others I have bought in the past. I only have one small complaint, and that is they didn't come with any indicators. I've got some in the past with other brands. A little patch that turns color if Oxygen is present. A good way to tell if they are still good on not. But its not a deal breaker for me. ... show more

Been preparing dry rice for storage in mason jars. So today, I decided to try these absorbers out. Easy peasy and you get 10 sets of 10 to make for 100 packets. I like having them in the packets of 10, this way if you don't go through all of the absorbers at once they don't start to expire. You will know when the absorber has done its job as it will become very hard like a little brick and needs to be replaced if you continue to store the product in your jar or pail. Excellent oxygen absorbers that are doing their job and keeping my food fresh. These require a degree of moisture in the air to activate so weirdly enough, when paired with silica gel packets in an almost airtight space, these oxygen absorbers don’t activate. I like including some anyway for when I break the vacuum seal and reseal for shorter term use. At this point air gets in and these oxygen absorbers activate and do their job. ... show more

These oxygen absorbers come in a vacuum-sealed bag. 10 pouches contain 10 smaller bags inside. These are not small ball absorbers these are a sand-like powder material inside each packet. These are better for food products as described.
