This product is more stiff and rough than expected.I would say it is similar to corduroy fabric. I wanted to make burp cloths, but fabric is too rough even after washing. This is different from other chenille fabric I have seen. I wonder if this product has changed because past reviews said soft and great for burp cloths. ... show more

OK I originally reviewed this item as not suitable for babies items, but I put it in the wash machine on warm and popped into the dryer with a dryer sheet and it came out soft and fluffy it will now be perfect for all my baby items items! This fabric is awesome for baby bibs and burp cloths. It is so much easier to work with than the minky fabric that everyone is using lately. It doesn't shift around as much on you, and it's easier to cut straight. I have been told by moms that it is better for absorbing drool as well.
