  • Super happy with purchase.
Such a great product! Easy to cut. Easy to install. Seems to be working great in my RV to keep the heat out and the cool in when the air conditioner is running and to keep the heat in when it is cold outside. There was a lot more product than I thought there would be. I did not even use half of it to use in every window of my 38 foot RV. Now looking for other uses. Would definitely purchase again. ... show more

  • Helps control temp with very little bulk!
Used in unheated uninsulated garage and keeps it cooler in summer and warmer in winter. Now will be using on framed out flat roof.

  • Remarkable difference in attic heat!!!
Our roof is BLACK shingles, the attic gets hot-hot-HOT! This year, our Air Conditioning bill hit new record levels.... it was always too hot to put the foil up, until now... on a rainy day. Two weeks... every day, sunny or not, the attic temperature is virtually the same as the rest of the house - we've recorded temperatures of +135 degrees in the summer with our remote weather temperature sensor. I just checked, it's 2:30pm, and the attic is 73 degrees, bright sunny day, it's just 73 degrees - no solar gain in the attic! When installed, we left gaps at the base of each sloping wall, and the peak - just in case there was an excess heat buildup, we thought. This bubble foil stapled directly to the underside of the roof, I would NOT put it on the flat part, because moisture will not penetrate it. The bubble foil is strong enough to resist tearing, and though it goes up easily, maneuvering around the trusses takes the best part of a day, particularly in the narrow spaces along the edges. 2-3 kids can handle it a lot easier than a 6'3" adult. Once they got into the tall open spaces, it goes up quick, by comparison. For the flat part of the attic, we're going to use perforated foil, stapled down, and more insulation on top of that. The perforated foil will allow moisture to pass through, instead of soaking the insulation, rotting wood, etc. I think this would last a long time, given it's not exposed to direct sunlight. ... show more

  • Good price, easy to work with. Time will tell if it does the job.
This is like the stuff that's in those foldable front window sun shields for your car. Basically, it's bubble wrap with very thin reflective foil on both sides. I got it to insulate one side of a lean-to kind of greenhouse. I don't know quite what to make of the R-value; I think its whole function is to reflect infrared, as opposed than provide insulation from conduction. Once I get things finished, I will make an update on this point. It's very easy to work with. You can cut it with scissors or a razor knife easily. ... show more

  • Works GREAT!
I just installed this as a temporary fix for a room that has no insulation (a converted / enclosed porch with shingles directly on top of the wooden ceiling). Last summer the room would get as much as 15 degrees (F) hotter than the rest of the house, making it pretty much unusable for several months. Now the room is only 5 degrees (F) warmer, which is fine for now. Long term fix is to build an insulated roof over the room and improve the HVAC airflow, but this is a perfect fix for now. ... show more

  • Great product. A little thinner than the Refletix brand
Great product. A little thinner than the Refletix brand. It came in on time and saved me some $$$. I'm going to buy more fore sure. I'm using it as the radiant barrier behind the exterior walls of a 30x40 pole barn. I plan on air conditioning the entire building. We will see how it works out. I live in south Louisiana where it gets damned hot. ... show more

  • Went up easily. Nice to work with
Went up easily. Nice to work with. Would be nice if it could be bought in smaller lengths. Needed about 275ft and 2x125ft rolls left us just a tiny bit short or quite a lot over. Don't want to mix and match widths as it might look shabby, looks great right now. Side benefit: Reflective surface added a LOT of light to a dark garage. ... show more
