Amazon ad said main stone was a J color rating, but when we put it into our cart, it was switched to a K color rating. That was weird. I sent seller an email about this switcheroo, and they said they would either credit us $100 for the color difference, or replace the ring. We then noticed that the ring had no imprint showing the karat weight of the gold alloy. Seller affirmed via an email that it was 14K, and also said the imprint might have been polished off during sizing - that made us nervous, as any reputable jeweler would re-imprint the ring if that happened. I examined the ring under a powerful microscope and saw NO indication that it had ever had an imprint. We consulted a local jewelry store and they confirmed what we already thought: if there's no imprint, question whether ring is solid gold. We weren't willing to risk this expense to potentially discover one day in the future that the ring was only gold plated. We were also nervous about the warranty, which said "if one of the diamonds falls out, we will take care of you" - not exactly a clear legal guarantee that they will repair or replace the stone. Very loose language. So although the ring is beautiful, we were just too nervous about whether it was worth what we paid for it. We returned it for a full refund. ... show more
