This review is primarily about the XBOX LEGACY EDITION. I reserved this item on the very first day of the pre-sale in September 2025. I followed the studio's progress on their YouTube channel, engaged with their social media accounts and remained excited for the release through the delayed launch. When the Lana Del Ray track and title sequence were announced, any doubts I had about the investment in the game itself were alleyed. So far I've only been able to play a bit due to issues I will soon detail but the game itself is great. Now, the LEGACY EDITION product itself had little information available for the $300 price tag last year. It was really just a social media image with the Golden Gun stand and a few other details, there was nothing on the Amazon listing at all actually. So it took some guts to go all-in like I did but I hoped to add to the hype and confidence in producing a great extension to the 007 stories. Fast forward to yesterday when I receive the game, in sleek and thoughtful packaging that made me consider creating some unboxing content. It looked great! However, as layer after layer were removed, reality set in. The Golden Gun stand is the piece de resistance of THE LEGACY EDITION, so essentially a $200 value. But NOPE, not at all. It's a really disappointing plastic with metal weights sloppily glued inside to make it feel heavy. The display items are only the visible half, hollow and mounted to the backing. It would probably retail for $75-$100 at absolute best by my estimate. That would include the removable 007 magnet that sits in the corner of the stand. It's actually metal and pretty cool. I'd probably pay $20-$25 for that alone. All that said, the biggest issue for me personally was that it was not clear from the pre-sale that I would not be able to play this on my XBOX Series S, which is digital only. At $300 and the top-of-the-line offering, this should absolutely include a download code. They included a download code for the Deluxe Edition in-game items, how can they justify not including one for the game itself? Having to buy it a second time brings the total expense to around $375 which is simply ridiculous. James Bond 007 fans obviously overlap with gamers substantially, but the amount that are not actively gaming is certainly at least twice as large. And not all are going to be the hardcore types that insist on machines operating physical discs. Funny to think that I probably would have accepted the previously mentioned shortcomings if a download code was included. I'll be making a return and remaining disappointed in this experience for some time.

My only disappointment was that you can't actually hold the Golden Gun. It's molded as part of the display case. Same with the bullets.

This is strictly a review of the Collectors items and not the game itself. (Have not played yet). To MGM, IO Interactove, Amazon and whoever else was involved with this Collectors edition. This is the worst CE I have ever ordered. I am truly disappointed I payed a premium price of over $300 USD after taxes for half a Golden Gun. It has weights glued on the inside to make it feel heavy. The actual gun is gun half a gun. It and the bullets can not be picked up they are screwed to the display. Instead of a digital gold lighter you should have included an actual refillable lighter in this. I feel like this is more like a $180 item. I wish I had seen the CE that was a mask instead for $199. So disappointed. It looks good in my collection, and have it, so I will not return it, but damn I got screwed on this purchase. If you are expecting an actual figurine you can pick up and look at this is not it. I dont even think it can be considered a figurine since its glued and screwed in place and can only look at ot from one side. Figurines are supposed to be viewable from all sides. How can this be made right?

The game itself is great, along with the features included in the box. I bought this for my partner who loves James Bond, and he's very satisfied with it. That being said the stand is more flimsy that I would have liked. We found it easy to put together but the pole it rests on is very thin and doesn't stand straight. Even though it's screwed in all the way the stand wiggles when moved. It's a beautiful set, but for how much I paid for it, I would have liked the stand to be a more durable material.

Game is ok but this box exclusive was a HUGE waste of money. It’s cheap plastic, doesn’t even come out of the case. Feel incredibly hoodwinked here. Complete garbage. Don’t even bother and I’m a BIG 007 fan. Complete let down. I wish I had more words to describe how terrible this buy was.
