  • The BEST upgrade for Audio Technica headphones
Color: White
I am a working DJ; comfort and ergonomics are an important part of what I do. These Wicked Cushions PadZ are superior in every way to the retail pads that come with Audio Technica headphones. First and foremost, they feel much nicer; I can wear them for four or five hours without any fatigue or soreness on my ears and head. They provide better over-the-ear coverage, meaning you can hear the music more clearly in a loud club environment. The covering has yet to disintegrate after three years of constant use. I have now purchased three pair - one for my black ATH-M50s, one for my white ATH-50s, and one for my wife's ATH-M30s. If you're going to spend $150 on headphones, spring for the upgraded pads. You'll be glad you did! ... show more

  • These cushions have given me a whole new listening and gaming experience with AudioTechnica ATH-M50x headphones.
Color: Black
I normally hate when people write reviews for products right after they receive them, but I'm so blown away by these ear cushions that I couldn't wait. I also realized right after I finished writing this that a lot of what I said is very similar to the product description, so I’d like to go ahead and say that this is not a paid review, nor was I given anything to review these ear cushions. I’m just a low-level audiophile home from school for the summer with nothing else to do. I've been using AudioTechnica ATH-M50X circumaural headphones for over 4 years now for gaming, listening to music, music production, and watching YouTube/Netflix. I would estimate that I've spent at least 2,500 hours wearing these headphones with the original ear cushions. Needless to say, the old cushions are totally worn down. The foam has almost completely compressed, the outer materials has been breaking off in tiny flakes for about 8 months (you can even see them on the desk in the accompanying pictures), and the inner layer in the lining between my ears and the sound drivers (the speakers) has a hole in each cushion. Replacement cushions were drastically needed; these cushions are absolutely perfect. I'll go ahead and get my only complaint out of the way: there was a delay in the shipment of my ear cushions that set the delivery back a few days. However, I got them in the mail the day after being notified of their shipment, so in total it took 9 days to get them after completing my purchase. Wicked Cushions seems to be a relatively small company so a slight shipment delay is totally understandable. This in no way detracts from the product itself, so the cushions keep the 5-star rating. Now on to the good stuff: 1. These cushions are MASSIVE, both in the thickness of the foam and in the diameter of the ear holes. I have pretty big ears and this is the first time I've ever had my ears totally encapsulated by headphones. That means no more discomfort from my ears being pushed awkwardly against my head, something I noticed a lot when wearing my headphones for a few hours at a time (even before the stock cushions wore down). I primarily wear contacts but they feel fine with my glasses on too. There's very little pressure actually noticeable with glasses on. I assume this is because these cushions actually fit over my ears and don't push on the tops like other headphones have. It’s wonderful to finally get the real circumaural headphone experience. 2. Like I said before, these cushions are huge. The foam in these cushions is about an inch thick. It’s soft and comfortably compresses without the sound drivers touching my ears at all (one of the biggest reasons my headphones were so uncomfortable before the upgrade). I thought I might feel a bit of squeezing due to how large the cushions are before I first put them on, but that’s barely the case. I almost can’t feel the headphones at all other than an extremely slight amount of squeezing around my ears. It’s more that they fit snugly right now than anything else, and I have no doubt that it’ll go away over time as the foam breaks in. 3. The sound quality of my headphones has drastically improved. I’ve listened to music with these on for about two hours and I’m honestly amazed by how much the quality has increased. I’ve listened to Cage the Elephant, Mac Demarco, Run the Jewels, Kanye West, Led Zeppelin, Mastodon, and Tool to see how different genres sound. The depth of sound has improved greatly, so much so that I don’t even know how to explain it. It isn’t that music sounded flat before, it’s more that it now sounds almost like surround sound instead of stereo. The increase in depth is crazy. All of the mids and highs sound so much clearer than before and the new depth allows the bass to really fill the space around and in my ears like it hadn’t before. I didn’t realize that it was possible for cushions to have such an huge impact on the range of sound headphones can produce, so this is all an extremely pleasant surprise. I also saw this translate to gameplay as well. In games like Rainbow 6 Siege where sound is so important, the improved clarity and quality is very helpful. 4. Installation was very easy. The cushions even come with a little diagram of how to install them. All you really have to do is pull the old ones off and put the edge of the new ones on. These cushions stretch quite a bit so you shouldn’t have to worry about ripping them during installation. 5. This is one of the most generic pros you can see in a review, but these cushions seem to be very high quality. The leather is soft but feels durable, the memory foam maintains its shape very well and decompresses very quickly. I’ll have to come back and update this review in a few months to talk about how the memory foam holds up, but the fact that it has memory foam at all should be an indicator of the quality and comfort these cushions provide. There is the possibility of these cushions retaining a lot of heat when worn for a long time or when gaming, but I can’t say for sure yet. The materials insulate sound very well and I assume they also insulate heat well too. However, I haven’t noticed any issues and I’ve had them on my head for about 4 hours now. ... show more

  • Good quality, Good comfort, AWFUL to install.
Color: Black Camo
Hyper X Cloud 2 Sound is comparable to the originals. Comfort is a tiny bit below originals. (if the slightly stiffer pleather leads to longer lasting then its acceptable) Tiny bit deeper than originals. (if you have ears that stick out further then this may be a plus to you) Now for the bad. (there is only 1) This earcup took over an HOUR to install... My hands had cramped up so many times during this ordeal of an install, that by the time I was done my hands felt as if they had aged 70 years... I don't know what late stage rheumatoid arthritis is like but if its anything like what I felt after the install then sufferers of that condition have my full sympathy. ... show more

  • Feels Great!
Color: Red Camo
Extremely hard to put on but if you give it time and you dont go insane you will get it! The biggest tip i can give is pull on it and really stretch it. It showed no tearing when i stretched it to apply it to my headphones Great Earcups!

  • Great price for a quality product
Color: Black
Great way to extend the life of your headphones! Headphones were working fine and in great shape except for the ear pads. These pads were easy to install (the video gave great tips) and are very comfortable. Now, let's see how long they last!

  • They fit my Hyper X Cloud Alpha S Blackout!
Color: Black
Took about 5 mins to install on my headset but they are definitely finicky. They feel and look really nice. I have not used them for an extended period of time but so far I have enjoyed them for casual gaming. Price point is average with other products but still definitely better than replacing the complete headset. ... show more

  • The Comfort is 10x Better Than Before
Color: Red Camo
I never realized just how poor my headphone's earmuffs were until I got these. I own HyperX's Cloud Wireless headset, and now with Wicked Cushion's earmuffs the inside of the headphone isn't pressing on my ear anymore. It actually surprised me just how much of a difference it made. Also, either I'm just really good at this naturally or it isn't actually as hard to put these on as I was led to believe. Only took about 5 minutes to get both on, and I was barely struggling to get the lip of the muffs into the channel on the headset. Very very happy with these. ... show more
