  • This is just about the online hacking.
I have had this game since release day. Iv done about every thing you can do on it and I got to say there is more then enough to do! In point of fact if your A.D.D you will be hours into it without even hardly playing the main missions. I probably put 50 hours in before I even completed act 2. I will say that depending on how you decide to play the game it can become repetitive I did not have this problem because i was distracted by every shiny object in the game. From playing chess, to taking digital trips, to running down random bad guys. Now I pretty much agree with every thing the top reviewer True Story has to say in his review. However for me online hacking is the funnest part of the game. And after reading his update on online hacking I tested out some tactics to see if I could still have a fun hacking experience. While versing the other players advantages. And the answer was yes. So first lets address that fact that they know u r there. Yup they sure do. They dont know exactly where you are but they have a nice big purple search area to run to. So the trick is to keep your distance. and get the hack either through cameras or get close enough to them to start your hack. Iv actual found you can take advantage of them running for your position. Now once you start the hack you will disappear off of there radar. You now have about 50 seconds to run or drive to a location that is more advantageous to u. You then need to press the down arrow and start your down load. ( and yes i agree this is not exactly how the game was probably meant to be played but for me it has been quite fun) Now I have been on both ends of this situation. So try to pick places where you have a combination of Npc characters, places to hide (preferably ones you can move away from to another spot or around it) and cars.( have a getaway plan! )You get points weather you get the full hack or not. I dont even try to get full hacks. I just try for 50 to 60 percent then i get the heck out of there! Things to help you get away. ( if you see the person hunting you approaching the front of the car you are hiding in and he has not shot you or officially identified you. Hit him with the car! I have yet to see any one die from this and it gives you more time to get away! Also sometimes even if they see you if they dont get close enough to profile u your hack will continue. If they do profile you another thing to consider is that if you stay out of their line of sight for long enough you will automatically get away. So approach hacks as if the other person knows you are in there game from the get go, watch them on your radar and look for your opportunity to hack them . Then get your distance before you start the full down load. Forget about getting full hacks ( if you want to try more power to you but it will increase the likely hood of your death) Now on to the aggravating car situation. I have found that u usually get only one opportunity to start the hack when they are just driving around every where waiting for you to time out. So a few things to help with that. Watch your distance counter on the side of the screen if they are just driving away from you when it reaches 1000 you can fast tract to to them witch may put you in a better position to start the hack.( Also my personal fave is when you start the hack and they drive away form you. This will actually buy you more time as they will have to drive back to your location just make sure you start the down load before you get caught in the red on your radar screen or you will be to far away. Now as to the campers who sit in a building or get on a roof with no camera angle. All I can say is that this is dirty pool tactics and in my opinion UBI soft should not penalize u for not getting the hack and they should stop rewarding people that do it. While that one is a low blow I actually have only encountered it a few times. Its just bad luck and really I dont think most people have the patience for it. I know I dont so U probably wont see it to often. And I have not seen it enough for it to ruin the game. Now i am by no means a top notch player of watch dogs. I just really enjoy the game and I find that the tactics I use result in about a 70% success rate. The odds are stacked against you and that is all there is to it. But you can still have fun hacking the other players. Sometimes you are going to be instant killed when you go to hack another player. I personally only go after people that are worth 150 or above points my best hack was on a player worth 500 points I got a partial hack and this got me about 350 notoriety points. Though I have had many times where going after big points got me killed within seconds. Still I learn from my mistakes and continue to have fun. The best is when you manage to get away and you know you were on the brink of death. I just really enjoy this game and want to point out that the funnest part of the game is now more difficult, but not completely hopeless and that you can still have alot of fun with this game. ... show more

  • This Watch Dogs - Playstation 3 is like Deus Ex Human Revolution but its still a very good looking solid fun game!
This is a nice video game if you liked Deus Ex Human Revolution you should love this. In this game you are sneaking around killing stuff and raising heck everywhere you go. Generally I don't like video games where one is forced to go sneaking about. I like being a total Bad@+# in video games. I love the idea of pumping untold numbers of bullets into a living thing till it ain't a living thing no more. So yeah I'm a Bulletstorm \ Duke Nukem kind of gamer and this game is far more sophisticated in its play. There is nothing wrong with this video game the video quality is awesome. the game play is pretty good. The control layout is a little weird but nothing you can't get used to. The story is involved and somewhat gripping. I did not finish the story because; as I said earlier this is not my kind of shoot everything that moves game play. Now my brother is a huge hulking dude in real life 6 feet 8 in tall and 310 pounds. My HUGE brother totally gets off on video games that let him pretend to be a small wirey slim dude who is able to sneak around and do stealthy things. Me I am a little dude who loves video games that let me be HUGE like my brother so I can weild huge guns and smack down or shoot everything in sight. My brother loves Watch Dogs and he is generally hard to please. My brother usually has trouble mastering the controls if a video game's button structure is poorly laid out. My brother had a little trouble mastering the controls at the beginning but in time he used those controls as if they were part of himself. I love this game not so much because; I played it myself but I did watch it unfold as my brother played it and even as a spectator I got drawn into the action and the reality of the graphics. There were some glitches and frame rate issues but they were few and far between. This Watch Dogs - Playstation 3 earns a five stars rating. ... show more

  • Watch Dog's and GTA 5
I am surprised that this game does not have more reviews. Perhaps it is because the people playing it are addicted and can't step away to write a review. I give this game 4 stars I would give it 5 stars but will go over the pros and cons of the game. First things first, I really enjoy this game and was pleasantly surprised. I was not sure what to expect because I've read mixed reviews, but you need to approach this game with an open mind. I think people who give this a negative review are doing so because they compare the game to GTA 5 which is unfair, it is a completely different game and for that you have to give it credit. But I will compare the pros and cons of this game and use GTA as a comparison because GTA is such a known game and people can easily relate to what I am going on about here if they play these types of games. Anyway, I purchased this game after finishing GTA 5 , I was looking for an open world game that would be as impressive as GTA 5. I have to say that I am very impressed with the satisfaction of this game. Dare I say I like it better than GTA 5? I like this game because it is serious, its a deep story that is based on fiction but realistic enough that you can see it sort of happening because of the worlds dependency on technology. There is a sense of urgency for the character and his mission, where in GTA 5 the characters are only interested in Money or their own benefits, in this game the main character is on a mission that is completely selfless. A few things I like about the game. 1. Driving, driving compared to GTA is so much better in this game, you can control the cars, the cars are heavier, you don't wipe out as much. I really enjoy driving in this game. 2. Shooting, the battles are a lot of fun in this game. I really enjoy them because you can 'Craft objects' this is missing in GTA 5 and is a lot of fun. You can collect objects around the city to craft different things that you can use to your advantage during a big shoot out. 3. The ability to manipulate town objects, burst pipes, stop the subway, control traffic lights, hack cell phones- all of this is a lot of fun, its just simply 'cool' to mess with the traffic lights especially during a race or getaway. 4. The ability to 'order' a car from your phone. This is great! No matter where you are on the map ,you can use this app on your phone to order your saved "cars" Cons- Now for the cons 1. Police Chases are hard. Simply put. This is not a GTA style - find the easy way out- hide in a corner, until they go away- police chase, the police are much more advanced in this game, and they do not let up. I found it very difficult to "trick" them, and they have this tracking software they use to 'find you" which makes it very hard and somewhat frustrating when you just want to play. When you 'lose them" they can 'find you" again on their device. I mean, it is possible to "lose them" completely but you have to be really smart about it. There is a feature that you can 'hide" in your car, you can for example pull down a dark ally, shut your car off and "hide" in your car which helps but you can still be detected by some of the scanners you really have to have patience. You can also hack into their tracking device but I haven't gotten that far yet. 2. Clothing: GTA 5 has WatchDogs beat when it comes to clothing. I dont' know about the online play for Watch Dogs but the game play stores do not allow for much clothing options for the main character. 3. Puzzles: I could do without the puzzles in this game....there are puzzles you need to figure out for hacking purposes and they are fun but sometimes get annoying or I just lose my patience. That is pretty much it for me. I have completed almost 10 missions so far, so if you are interested can provide more updates as I go further but from what I posted here I hope this helps. I read something before about long load times that has not been my experience. I have the PS3 version of this game. I do think it is a game that is worth it for the players who like games that have a good strong story line, games that provide different challenges, like crafting objects, puzzles, etc and games that have a little depth in them. There are some emotional points in this game where you really feel bad for the main character or civilians he is trying to help. If you want to play this game, you have to be looking for something more than just robbing banks, 'shooting gangs' or stealing cars- this is not what this game is about. ... show more
