I was worried given how many reviews noted the item came broken or missing pieces. For a non-returnable item, it was a big price for little piece of mind. Much to my surprise it came without damage. I bought this for a chipmunk that we rescued as an adolescent and can’t be returned to the wild (we tried, twice…). I wanted to recreate his natural habitat and top loading tanks weren’t deep enough and too cumbersome with the lid. This tank had 10” between the doors and the bottom, plenty of space to fill with substrate so he can dig tunnels and the front entry makes it easy for me to get inside for cleaning or upgrades. He loves it and has lots of levels for climbing and activities. It’s a beautiful tank and I’ve received lots of compliments! I do not have water in the tank so I can’t tell you if it leaks. Lock is good and handles were a nice touch to reduce fingerprints. However, some issues to be aware of before ordering. It’s not rocket science to put it together, but it wasn’t easy either. Took me an hour by myself because of the delicate nature and awkwardness of the glass panels. The directions are poor and a link to a video would have been amazing, but there was not one. The glass pieces were labeled, which was a big help and they give you special gloves for assembly, but you also have to assemble the joints and they are flimsy. Putting this together is really a two person job. I used electrical tape to hold the back joints in place so I could insert the back walk. The front joints are connected to the door panels (I spent forever trying to figure that out) and do not look like the back panel, so technically the side panel is only held in securely on one side of the panel. As I was placing suction cupped items on the side panel (the seagrass hammocks and a plastic water dish) I had to push from both sides of the glass at the same time or you risk popping the side panel out and breaking the glass. I had to assemble on the floor so I could be tall enough to slide the panels in (Im 5’3), but then the empty tank was too heavy to lift on to the table stand once complete. I had to wait for help and then stress that picking it up would crack or break it. Once together the system doesn’t feel particularly sturdy as the joints aren’t really connected. The other issue is the finger prints and glare. Unless its dark in the house, the glare and reflection off the glass impedes viewing and Im still cleaning prints off from adding the inside items. This isnt a deal killer and probably true of all glass tanks, but the glass in all directions seems to exasperate this…not a manufacturer issue, just something to be mindful of with placement because unless you put it on a stand with wheels you can’t really move it around due to the issues with sturdiness. Put it together as close to where it will remain as possible. Overall I’m happy and was glad I purchased. Shipping was quick. Box was heavy AF and arrived damaged, so I can see how pieces could get broken, but everything besides the bottom piece seemed to be packed really well. ... show more

It’s a good product and aside from being a little annoying to put together works great and is secure. PSA. I gotta say though anyone with a curious or Houdini like snake/reptile, the wire port is super easy to knock out and leaves a breach so keep that covered.

Easy enough to assemble, and definitely roomy for my juvenile ball python. The doors opening out make me a little nervous. That’s one nice thing about a tank that slides open on the top, less chance accidentally leaving it open, so you have to be vigilant about using the little lock. All & all its okay, but I am not happy with this purchase & would of returned had I known I could of had UPS pick it up..plus I bought it on payments & that probably would of gotten all screwed up too.. My reason’s are: 1) its not easy to clean, everything ends up stuck in cracks between bottom floor & side glass. 2) the clips are awful, awkward & break, its so hard to maneuver to lift the top off & try to work the clips to release the top..the clips & little plastic pieces just go pop & fly off.. 3) I have to place both lids upside down in order to be able to open this tank/cage to be able to feed clean & socialize with my pet. Needless to say I’ve been very disappointed with thus purchase & wont ever buy anything like this with out being able to have the ability to actually work it & see it work myself hands on in person.. ... show more

Nice quality. Put together easy. Sturdy. Only thing is it doesn't seem like it is a 40 gallon, more like a 30. Luckily that's ok for the snake going in it. But it's a great purchase.

I and my beardie absolutely love it! It was very easy to assemble, plus it also came with gloves so you have a better grip on the glass and prevents a bunch of annoying fingerprints. My male beardie (who is about a year old) fits in it perfectly with plenty of room! Plus there’s enough ventilation to help with the humidity At first it may not look like the construction of the tank won’t work, but trust the process! ... show more
