These are good quality envelopes for mailing out invites, letters, etc. I deducted a star because the glue strip at the top does not cover the length of the flap. I have to use double sided tape or glue to secure the part without any adhesive which measures 1.5 to 2 inches which varies from envelope to envelope ... show more

After using "Pen&Gear" A9 envelopes for many years (from a local store) - I was surprised how much better these are - much more sturdy and opaque. Very pleased as these have no show-through, and take calligraphy marker ink very well. They also have a deeper envelope flap - 2 inches - and - a bit more room in them, so half-fold cards slide in much easier. The adhesive is fine too. Probably the best brand I've found.
