After buying the unit I ran into problems with the current EZCad 2 software. After several personal attempts I could not get it to run properly. I joined a laser community via a YouTube channel named laser everything. Alex was a big help and there were plugs to take care of known EZCad 2 issues. The team at SFX did begin communication with me but with a 9+ hr time difference it was difficult to manage. I suggest watching videos and doing research prior to buying. With this all said, my 30w JPT LP+ is running well and I am etching Kydex and blade steel as well as Camelbak tumblers. I don’t think this is a bad unit and I’m glad I didn’t go with the 20w where I would have been under powered/ resourced. Overall good product. If you have never ran one before plan on watching a lot of videos on setup and running Ezcad software. Shipping took a few weeks and was seamless. It was packaged very well and the box I was able to repurpose as a scrap wood holder.
