  • good card stock
good card stock. cards about two by three, ish. The box contains two sets of cards which you can use for many things, including the games suggested by the manufacturer. one set has an image of the animal's tracks, while the other set contains beautiful photographs of the animals. Both sets contain the animal's English and Latin names. The set with the tracks also identifies the front and back, or in one case, shod and unshod foot, and gives their length and width in cm and ft/in. Sets cotain river otter, raven, wild pig, African lion, Snowy Egret, California Quail, Brush Rabbit, Domestic Cattle, Black Bear, Bald Eagle, Alligator, Beaver, Bison/Buffalo, domestic goat, coyote, giraffe, cat, elk, mountain goat, striped skunk, caribou, whitetailed deer, dromedary camel, grizzly bear, domestic sheep, great blue heron, pacific treefrog, mountain lion, wild turkey, spotted skunk, pond turtle, mouse, wolverine, gray fox, horse, pronghorn antelope, gray wolf, opossum, raccoon, and a stone marten. highly recommended. ... show more

  • Great for an animal loving kid
My son recently had a wild Kratts birthday party and I thought this could be a fun game/scavenger hunt for the kids. So it is advertised as a matching game but I took it up a notch. I handed each kid an animal card and had hid the tracks cards throughout the yard. Since then my son has been using them as the matching game it was intended to be. He is a serious animal lover so I think this game will be used for a while. The cards are about the size of a deck of cards and the only thing that could have been better is seriously the box it came in. It is cheap and flimsy so when you hold it you almost have to hold it with two hands otherwise all the cards come spewing out. ... show more

  • Well Chosen Trivia Facts - Pertinent
Style: Ocean Animals
The cards are thick and durable. There are two kinds: one with a picture on it with the name of the creature, another with three facts about the creature along with a tiny version of the same picture and its name. I'm not sure what game would actually work well since the name is on both facts cards as well as the picture cards. The facts listed on the trivia cards are well chosen. It may state what it eats, how it protects itself, or some other interesting feature unique to that creature. For instance, on the Lionfish card it lists: "Has venomous spines", "Can live up to 15 years", and "A predator that eats many kinds of fish, as well as crab, shrimp, and squid". For the Jellyfish it states: "Not a fish since it is an invertebrate", "Has no brain or heart", and "Moves by squirting water out of its mouth." I think the cards would be a great addition to a homeschool science unit about oceans. The facts are fun and I think they would make a great supper table discussion feature. What I don't like about the cards is that two of the edge colors, which also serve as the color behind the names on all cards, are difficult to read. One is a medium yellow background with a white font. The white letters are hard to see and very difficult to read. It steals some of the joy out of playing with it. The other color is not quite so bad, it is a pale sky blue with white font. Not well chosen. On the trivia facts cards, the game maker used a purplish-blue font, not white, for the trivia and those are easy to read, but the Names on all cards are in white font. ... show more

  • Great educational game for the money
We like this game. I think the negative reviewers are just being picky. One doesn't like the size, another the thickness, another something else....blah blah. This game is fine. Nice pictures, cards big/small enough for all hands to hold, cards are plenty sturdy, multiple playing options, etc.

  • This is one of the best Animal track sets I bought for my classroom
This is one of the best Animal track sets I bought for my classroom. They are wonderfully made and colorful to capture your child or student's attention. I used them frequently for my Zoology class and they still look new. I would highly recommend this set.

  • Great game
Style: Ocean Animals
This is a great game with interesting facts! We even bought an extra one for a gift. You can't go wrong for the price and the educational factor. Nice way to get off the screens!

  • Stuck together and warped
The package was wrapped in plastic but must have gotten moisture at some point because the cards were ripping off the pictures just by pulling them out from the box. I also bought a second and gave as a gift. Cheap cardboard and warped....but I’m definitely embarrassed by the quality of the gift one was in the same condition. Good thing it was a close friend! ... show more
