I think if you wear shapewear, you would be able to work this dress if you aren't confident about being in shape. However, I wear the type of shapewear that is basically like a long tank dress, so I was worried about the straps showing. At 5'5, I would definitely need to wear heels to avoid having dress wear me rather than the other way around. Fabric is also pretty thick, so definitely save for chiller seasons, but it does feel expensive and comfortable against the skin. Slit is not significant if you wear heels if you are my height and below. Also I can't think of an upcoming occasion to wear this too...I bought it on impulse during a Prime Day Sales Event because it had great reviews...but this is definitely the type of dress you can wear to a formal event, or special date night like Valentine's Day or something...I'll probably repurchase when the time is right. ... show more

Wow wow wow this dress is incredible. This gives my body the perfect hourglass shape (that I don’t actually have). Quality is thick and comfortable. The other reviews are correct, order two sizes down. I’m normally a small and the XXS fits like a glove.

I loved the weight of the yarn, or tight knit of the dress. It hugged my shape and felt like a hug - I felt pulled in. flattering on my figure. The design of the knit is outstanding on the neckline As for the quality - it looks like it came from a hi end department store. Truly.
