Description

An effective play of light and shadow, transparency and colour, subtlety and boldness can be created by both hobby and professional artists alike using the high-quality, water-soluble Staedtler karat aquarell watercolour pencils. They offer infinite creative potential - even making it possible to combine fine detail with large area washes. Their break-resistant leads, available in up to 60 vibrant, lightfast colours are now even softer and more colour-intensive and retain their vibrancy even when blended with water. Whether used for making quick sketches when out-and-about or for doing more detailed work back home, Staedtler karat aquarell watercolour pencils can always be relied upon to transfer your ideas to paper. Karat aquarell are high-quality watercolour pencils in a hexagonal shape. The watercolour leads can be used dry or blended with water. This means they are apt for a wide range of creative effects when colouring, drawing or water colouring with water and brush. The leads have high blending quality and a smooth, colour-intensive performance. The lead has a diameter of 3 mm and is specially break-resistant. The pencils are easy to sharpener with any quality metal sharpener. The 60, assorted colour pencils are supplied in a practical tin. • Vibrant Colors, Good Quality
I love how vibrant these colors are when a little water is added. I’ve tried a couple of quality brands (Caran D’ache Supracolor, Derwent) that are very good but are not as vibrant as Staedtler. These pencils are also less expensive. I have yet to try Caran D’ache Museum Aquarelle but in the meantime, the Staedtler pencils make me happy! ... show more

  • Great
Incredibly good pencils. I had bought Arteza and Generals and was so disappointed in them. These are strong, well made pencils with vivid, rich colors that intensely pop when water is applied. I am so much more pleased with my art since getting them. The only reason I did not give them five stars is the lack of color names on the pencils. ... show more

  • IMHO The best Watercolour pencils - ever
I was so happy to have been able to bought the full set of these recently during an Amazon limited deal. I've been waiting a long time to own these and as of today, I do! They came from Amazon UK in perfect new condition. You can use these dry or wet, but I highly recommend using them wet because the vibrancy of the olours are like no other. They are made in Germany says so right on the tin! These are more popular in the UK than they are in the US thus why you don't see many American youtubers talk about these. ... show more
