I'm still exploring and learning Sound Forge but I really like the clean and modern interface. I've been using Audacity and while it's pretty good the user interface is terrible and hard to navigate. Sound Forge fixes a lot of those problems with it's design. It includes a variety of filters and effects you can apply but for me being able to reduce or eliminate static and background noise in a recording is fantastic. It definitely helps clean up stuff recorded at home. Installation was easy. You get a card with a serial number that you use to activate the software after downloading it. Just remember to save the serial number so you can re-install Sound Forge in the future if you need to. ... show more

    • Great and Affordable Sound Production Software
This software is fantastic. I'm not a professional music producer but do have amateur experience in DJing and music production. I mainly use Serato Studio since it's beginner friendly and ties into Serato DJ. This audio studio software seems very comparable to it. You can make your own beats and it has templates based on music style to get you started off or inspire a beat. It even has multiple instruments that you can choose from when making your beats. You can also import songs and edit them at your leisure. There are a ton of audio effects and editing effect you can use and it even supports plugins for further expandability. So far this seems like a fully featured audio production studio at what could be considered half to a quarter of the price when comparing to other well known audio studios. For only $59.99 and seeing how fully featured this product is I can definitely recommend it. ... show more

    • Nice program
This is a good program for mastering. I really like it. I usually track and mix with reaper, but I can import my files into this and do a little bit of mastering. I am happy with it.

It’s my first time using this audio editing software. First, I stopped using windows long time ago. To review this product, I had to get a windows pc and see how it works. Installation and activation process was seamless. It comes with Angie r software, music maker, that adds for the value of this suite. I spent most of my early life working on audio recording and manipulating, it was so fun. Going back to this hobby was interesting, how it’s super easy now to edit and add effects, so it’s suitable for beginners. This software equipped with all needs tools and effects I will ever need. Some plugins even adds more functionality and versatility for this suit. I will keep using it for more time and see how it stands out of other software I used in the past. The media could not be loaded. I do a fair amount of audio enhancement and preparation for school shows and community theaters. I got this product to replace my original Sound Forge (version 10.x), that I had been using for many years. There have been a number of improvements in v 17. The most notable feature -- one that I will be relying on for every track -- is the average and peak meter display. Since my work has switched entirely to the digital console domain, I have to be more cognizant of volume levels, avoiding any chance of clipping. These enhanced meters make that task much easier. I have also noticed that some of the other features, such as volume reduction, are much more precise and produce the desired results on a more consistent basis. My package also included the iZotope plug ins, although I have not used them enough as yet to provide a fair review on these. Both Sound Forge and iZotope require a multiple step online registration process. I had some difficulty getting the iZotope plug ins to license. For both products, you MUST insert all dash marks (xxxxx-xxxx-xxx.....). The software will not register with one continuous string of characters -- no (xxxxxxxxxxxxxx). Also, enter every character exactly as it appears in the licensure email. Once registered, the program worked right away. Just a point of information -- I have been running this on a Windows 7 machine with an i3 processor with no issues. This is absolutely my favorite audio processing software. ... show more

    • Amazing Set Of Audio Tools
There is so much to like about this software,I can't name all of the things it can do but if you can think it,you'll likely be able to do it with this. I used it to edit some poorly recorded files and songs that were way too quiet or imbalanced and it worked amazingly well where other audio tools just created more distortion. I like how you can add sound effects to things and has all sorts of stuff like normalization,eq and can even get rid of static and make things clearer. The ui is pretty easy to work with and is easy on the eyes which helps a ton Overall I highly recommend this software ... show more

    • Very easy to understand and utilize, even for beginners
I got this for my son as he was interested in it. Once he downloaded the software it was fairly easy to figure out what he needed to do to get set up with everything and by the end of the evening he was showing me different things he had done within the program with some of his favorite songs. Customer support hadn't been needed for anything yet but I will edit if we have any experiences with that. I love that this allows him to do creative things and not just play video games. This has him thinking and problem solving and doing something he loves at the same time. ... show more
