This product arrived in a very heavy box. Upon opening and attempting to put it together, it was bad enough that the screws included were bent, broken and or stripped but what's even worse is that the stabilizer bars are 2 inches shy of reaching across the bed. How do they expect anyone to sleep on that? On the first time one would find themselves on the floor. This is by far the poorest quality control I've ever seen, and I've seen some crap in my day!     • This is an assembly nightmare!

The frame itself went together well, but the mattress support system is a disaster. Very poor design, impossible for 1 person to do alone, and the screws that came with the support legs don't fit the nuts. We had to make a trip to the hardware store for new screws, then found the nut in one of the supports is crooked and the 3rd screw didn't fit. We had to jury-rig it with materials on hand, with the result of the support posts being a little wobbly. They will hold the mattress up, but will probably make the bed squeak with movement. And this bed will also be a royal pain if we ever have to move. Definitely do not recommend this product! ... show more

Well I’ve only had for one day and my daughter put it together in 2 & half hours. Sturdy, solid, does not squeak and it is the right height for me. BUT...yes there is a but... Assembly Directions are poor, we figured it out but all the screws were all in ONE bag and no written explanation, just numbers, if you can get pass that then u will have one solid lovely platform bed BUT...I love it!! ... show more

    • Poorly pre-fabricated bed

We purchased two of this bed. The first bed was fairly easy to assemble until we had to put on the supports on the underside of the bed. The metal pieces did not line up so the bolt could not be screwed down into the hole it was supposed to on two of the support legs. We had to drill the top hole of the piece large enough to get the bolt to go in straight up and down and not at a diagonal. Once that issue was fixed, we were only given half the screws that were needed to screw down the base of the bed to the bedframe and had to go and buy extra screws to finish putting the bed together. The second bed came with a corner completely broken off as well as supports that did not line up for the bolts to fit in and be bolted down. We're making it work, but unfortunately would not recommend this bed to potential buyers/purchasers as they will be frustrated wasting their money on a product that will not come as expected. ... show more

Bed squeaks after only 2 weeks of use. Even after tightening all the bolts again. Not very sturdy as the reason it squeaks is because it moves when you sit or lay on it

    • DEFECTIVE AND WRONG SIZE

Upon opening the box, I was really excited to set up this frame because it seemed like the wood was high quality. As I was setting up the 4 sides together, I realized they had incorrectly sent me a queen size frame when I originally ordered a full. I was willing to bite the bullet and make it work considering I had just moved into a new place and had been sleeping on the floor for the past week. But then I tried to assemble the center support beams and the screws they provided didn't fit in at all! No matter what I did, the screws would not line up with the support beams and therefore ended up being useless. ... show more

OK, so I wasn’t going to purchase this because of some of the bad reviews, but I’m glad I ended up buying it. The value matches the price, but it’s pretty decent, and I’m happy with it. There is definitely room for error when assembling the frame. I can see where other reviewers had issues. As you can see in my pictures, the center metal support is poorly designed. Instead of being a bar that extends from one end of the bed to the other, they provide two shorter bars - and you must begin each bar at either side of the bed (head and foot), and they pass each other in the middle but do not extend all the way. Also, they don’t attach to the head or foot. Very strange, but it’s fine. And then there’s the issue of the slats not extending quite all the way across. No big deal… Just push the frame in a little before you screw it down, and voila, it fits just fine. You definitely need an electric drill for that part. Lastly, you don’t technically need two people to assemble it. I am one person and got it done. It was a pain in the butt a couple of times and would definitely be easier & quicker with more than one person, but not necessary. If you are not very handy, I would suggest requesting help from someone who is. In the end, I tested out the bed, and it feels very sturdy and trustworthy. It looks good too.
