    • Does not have a full aluminum body. Sharp edge. Disappointed in the quality for the price.
I’ll start of by saying it works. But there are a few issues I have with this item. First off it says it is an all aluminum body but I don’t believe the underside is aluminum. I’m pretty sure it is plastic. Sounds different than the rest of the body and feels different. I’m not going to go scratching it on purpose to find out because this thing wasn’t cheap. For the price it should have a better feel and should def be all aluminum. You can really tell from their pictures but there is a sharp edge that goes around the entire body of the charger. From their pictures you would like it is a nice rounded, one piece unit but it isn’t. You can see it in the picture another customer posted. And I’m figuring this is more on Amazon than the company that produces this, but the box that it was in was covered with gross stuff and then the unit itself has a few scuff marks from (what I’m assuming) moving around inside the box. The only other thing it could be is this was used and returned even though it is supposed to be new. Push comes to shove it is small and good for travel. It does work and charges the Apple Watch well. I would be worried about the sharp edge scratching MacBook, iPad, back of the Apple Watch and will edit the post if it does damage something. And it is very misleading with the plastic back. I had high hopes for this with the very high price. I’m disappointed. ... show more

    • Expensive but it works
Good little device. It is overpriced, but it's solidly built (yes, it's metal) and safe for use with your Apple Watch. Seems to charge at half the speed of Apple's fast charge cable / 20w adapter combo. Four stars because it sits loose in the USB-C port.

It works and is exactly what I needed in terms of portability, but it feels super cheap for $40. It’s like a fake metallic looking “aluminum” that seems like it will show scratches really easily. The edges are sharp and not round like the photo suggests. And if I plug it into my iPad, I have to take off the case or else it won’t charge. Works fine on my MacBook obviously, but it will cover both USB-C ports so it’s not like you can charge your MacBook at the same time. Overall I’m somewhat unimpressed by it (for $40!!!! Are you serious) but it will still get the job done. Would also be better if the USB-C end was retractable or had a cover. ... show more

Easy to use and quick to charge. I used it on my work laptop. But then my Wifi and/or my VPN connection kept dropping. I thought I'd solve the problem by plugging in directly with an Ethernet cable. That made my internet stable but the VPN kept dropping. All went back to normal when I moved this charger to the other room. ... show more

I'm not sure why, but the fact that this charger doesn't have a cable attached to it is a huge benefit. I travel a lot, and for years I've carried around an extra charger for my Apple Watch. It was always annoying to deal with the cable—having to unwind or untangle it, dig out a power adapter, plug the cable into the adapter, find a wall outlet to plug it all into, etc. So much fussing, so many pieces to contend with. This little charger is SO much more convenient to carry and use. Just pull it out of my bag, insert it in one of the USB-C ports on my MacBook, and drop the Watch on it. This unit charges my Apple Watch 7 almost like the original pug. Its compact size is good; I don’t have to deal with the long cable of the original pug. I use this charger twice a day.
