The hair is smooth and the color is nice. This brand offers the thickest hair I’ve found on Amazon. The 22” hair is 130g. I just cut it a little when I feel like it. It will last a long time if you don’t sleep in it and use a lot of conditioner when washing and use leave in conditioner as well. It will keep it smooth. You should also use a heat protector spray when straightening or curling it. My hair is very fine and thin so I have to add a few extra clip ins to supplement and make it look like layers. I get constant compliments on my hair. When I tell people they’re extensions, they can’t believe it. Curling helps a lot with blending if you have short hair. I purchased 16” clip ins and added a couple to the sides to make it layered. Works perfectly. If the wire keeps moving back on your head, it’s because you’re not putting it close enough to the front of your head. It should only be about an inch or so from your hair line. You also need to make sure you’re laying the wire exactly where you parted your hair. I make a part in front and a separate part in back and mine doesn’t move. I curl it all the time too. There’s nothing wrong with using the clips for extra security as long as you’re not digging them into your scalp. Just use some volumizing and texturing powder and give it a little “scratch” with your fingertips and the clips can grab on without you teasing your roots like crazy. Also, to those saying this isn’t real hair, you’re wrong. If it was synthetic or acrylic, it wouldn’t hold a curl. It would go straight when you try to curl it, but it doesn’t do that at all. It may not be the highest quality real hair but it’s real hair. The price also isn’t too bad, considering the prices on those big name brands. I looked for a volumizing weft on a big brand site and it was $90 for a one-piece 55g clip in. That’s much thinner than this. Anyways, I’ve been wearing all kinds of extensions for years and these are actually pretty good! When you tighten the string, it feels like it might break but it won’t. Just hold it as close to the metal piece as possible and pull slow and steady. If you’re going to use a halo, you just have to know how to use it correctly. You can always YouTube instructions on how to do things with it, whether it’s putting it on or replacing the wire, etc. ... show more

    • Good quality product, but not for those of us with thinner hair…

So I recently lost a lot of hair last fall - my thyroid was out of control and I didn’t know it. I cut off a foot and a half of hair and what was left was baby fine. It’s been growing back in steadily, but right now the new growth is only about two inches long; the rest is just past my shoulders and thins out considerably from my scalp. I figured this halo would be perfect while I’m waiting for the new growth to further descend. I purchased a cheap synthetic halo about a month ago and loved it - it blended in perfectly with my hair and nobody can tell I’m wearing a hair piece. So I decided to bite the bullet and purchase one made of real hair that would last until my hair has fully grown out. Pros: the hair is beautiful. My hairdresser said the halo is fairly well constructed and would probably last a year if treated delicately, maybe even longer with regular trims - which is why I bought the 20 inch. So far, there’s been no shedding (even with combing), but keep in mind I’ve only worn it twice and never washed it. The hair is also very light - some could argue it’s because the hair is thinner on bottom than on top, but I like that - it just makes it look more natural. Regardless, it didn’t give me a headache due to too much weight. Cons: the wire is not stretchy in any way, like on my cheap halo. Even after I adjusted and tightened it, it kept slipping back. The only way I could keep it in was to utilize the clips - which is very bad for hair that’s still delicate because of hormonal imbalance. I purchased a cheap stretchy wire and swapped them out and the hair stayed in place without the clips just fine. However, I had to remove the clips because even closed they kept tangling in my hair when trying to place the halo. But the biggest con is how bulky the band is. It’s fine if you have a full head of hair to cover it, but if your hair is thin there will be a ‘bump’ where the band sits beneath your hair. Most of my hair fall was from the sides, and the band is quite thick on the sides where the wire meets it. I wasn’t confident that the ends would stay completely hidden at all times - something I don’t have to worry about with the cheap halo because the band is so thin. So for now, I’ll stick with the cheap synthetic halo - maybe come fall I’ll be able to swap it out for this piece. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. Nice hair quality and good price to get 24”. I needed two halos to create the fullness I wanted. I also included a pic with just one for reference and a short video. The hair curls and straightens nicely. I did have to move the side clips higher towards the top of the weft to hold more securely. I staggered the two halos, removed clips from the bottom halo and stitched them together. Super fast to install and remove. Much less damage to my natural hair than other extensions such as tape and beaded wefts. Also, the ladies that have mentioned the halo doesn’t give them enough fullness on the sides, one suggestion is try moving the halo higher on your head. Smaller circumference means it will wrap around the head closer to the front. Just make sure to hide the weft with a little back combing and light setting spray. I also use a little spray and back combing on my hair where I attach the clips. My halo does not move even working for an eight hour shift. I’ve been wearing mine now daily for almost three months with no matting or shedding issues. No weird smell either. It took me a couple tries to get the color right and the company was great about refunding and exchanging new unused hair. Over all, I give it a five out of five stars!
