This is the second compressor I have put in my 2008 LR3. Original lasted about 160K, first Amazon knock off replacement lasted about 80K. I will update this review when this compressor fails. Everything fit well. It looks visually identical to the original Hitachi. Ignore the instruction sheet included with it. Watch a couple of YouTube videos and you will be better off. The sheet that comes with it appears to be a mash up of AMK and Hitachi instructions. It tells you to cut two of the plastic lines, which is absolutely wrong. My daughters LR3 was throwing a code for the suspension. Read it and it was not allowing the air to release quick enough. Switched the compressor out with this one and it works like a champ.

Well packaged and nearly identical to the original Hitachi pump. Pretty much a swap out unit for unit. This pump seems to run a little longer after it reaches the desired position, but otherwise I’ve noticed no difference in the way it operates. I did replace the original relay with the replacement that they supplied even though I don’t think there was anything wrong with the one that was in there. I kept it as a spare. I think the reason that they suggest doing that is that typically the pumps are burned out and that can cause to relay to short. Mine was just taking an awfully long time to raise and lower because the desiccant dryer was completely clogged and I couldn’t find a replacement kit for it easily. I’ll order a desiccant kit and rebuild the other pump dryer. ... show more
