I really love the look of these storage containers! They have a clean look which will be able to be utilized in a variety of decorating styles. I have chosen to keep mine in the bath, I have one in my half bath and the remaining 2 are in my full bath on an over the toilet shelving unit. I use the medium size container for my toiletries and my hubby utilizers the larger container. This has been a game changer in the bath because not everything needs to be dismayed and these crates provide that much needed privacy. Also, with the material being a nice solid wood, I know this will last a long time. Finally, don't think that this cannot be used in other rooms, this would work just as well in a nursery as it will in a kitchen or a pantry. ... show more

I ordered the white set of these wooden crates to organize some loose items in my linen closet and bathroom cupboard, but I am very disappointed. The crates shipped/arrived promptly and well packaged, but when I opened the package, there was a strong, bad smell. The smell is hard to describe - it was kind of like wood glue, but much stronger, but also kind of fishy... so yuck. The crates are not covered in white paint, but are white-washed. By that, I mean it is a material made of slaked lime or calcium carbonate (not watered down paint, like you see in many DIY projects). It has a plaster-like finish, but is sloppy, so the surfaces are uneven, there are dirty drip marks on the interiors of my crates, and all of them get white plaster dust on anything they touch - see the picture of the white outlines they left on my brown couch when I took them out of their packaging. I wiped them all down with a damp washcloth and got a lot of powder off, but even after letting them sit out to thoroughly dry and air out, they still stink and get white dust on anything that rubs against them. Also, even if these crates were awesome, $43 is way overpriced for what they are. Go find something cheaper and better quality. ... show more

These containers were smaller than expected and had an odd smell. They also aren't as sturdy as I was expecting, they're quite light.

These wooden crates come in 3 different sizes and can be decorative or actually used for storage. These can be side by side, however, I will stack mine and use them for decor. These are a beautiful rustic painted white color.
