After reading the reviews I knew these needed a crafters hand. And since I am crafty and like things MY way, I still decided to buy them and make them how I like. I stained the wood dark brown to match my furniture, I spray painted a mason jar lid with gold, Elmer’s glued the tissue paper to the outside of the jar to eliminate the transparency of the glass, and then I glued the battery box to the back. Overall I think they turned out pretty cute! And it looks great over my little “jungle”. Definitely buy them and fix them to how you like. Love it because it looks cute lit up when the rest of the lights in the house are off! And depending on the season you can change the greenery to any other fake flowers or plants to match from the dollar store.
