I ALWAYS make sure I buy returnable items but somehow this slipped past me. I think if an item is not returnable, it ought to be in bold red letters so people know right away. I had really hoped this system would work for our twin adjustable beds, but while the twin size Rubber Hugger fits, the so-called "adjustable" strap is much, much too long for the width of a twin bed, and there are no instructions on how to make it shorter. I don't see how you could without some heavy duty sewing. Since the "male" side of the velcro is only on the tip of each end, I would have to pull it to some point around the middle of the underside of the mattress to get it tight enough. But think about that: how can you pull something to the underside of a mattress? So the Rubber Hugger won't work on an adjustable bed without those straps and those straps are too big. But I can't return any of them. Not even the unopened packages? (I bought 2 of each.) Feeling burned right now. In addition: even if the straps had been the right size for a twin, I was already disappointed that they are ONLY for keeping the Rubber Hugger from popping off an adjustable bed when you have the head or foot tilted up. I had hoped it would also help keep the sheets down on the sides which is more of what our problem is. But from what I can tell, the rubber band won't exert enough pressure on the sides of the bottom sheet when the mattress is not flat. ... show more

Nope it didn't hold when bed was put in upright position. UPDATE. We had an injury tonight from this product. It popped off with great force while an adult was laying on the bed propped up on their elbow. It made a large red welt on their arm. We put ice on it to slow the swelling. They said it was painful. Imagine if it had hit the face/eye!! Don't use this product unless you restrain it well, and never around children or pets!!!! The bed was up about 20 degrees. THIS SHOULD BE OFF THE MARKET UNTIL THEY SELL IT WITH THE RESTRAINTS!!!!! ... show more

    • Not the perfect compliment to the Hugger Bands
As much as I love the Hugger Bands, I'm totally turned off by this restraining strap for my adjustable bed. The strap is long enough to work on a king-sized bed. On my split king, the strap is almost twice as long as needed. With the velcro fastener, you can't trim to size. So I had to attach to one side, snake it under the mattress to the other side, wrap it around the band (rather than attach it there), snake it back as close to the other side as the strap would go and then velcro the strap to itself. The band comes in three sizes. Why in the world don't you have 3 sizes for the restraining straps?? In this case, one size definitely doesn't fit all That said, my McGivered installation does the job of keeping the Hugger Band from coming off when the bed is raised. Once you figure out how to install it on your bed, the two products work perfectly to accomplish their objective. ... show more

    • Bought a second one!
LOVE the Rubber Hugger!! My mattress is 16 inches tall and the sheets were always wrinking in the middle (I had to buy sheets with 19 inch corners...so way too big) I have already ordered another one. I have been using the 4 corner sheet grips but those are a 2 person job and I hate lifting the mattresss! The videos showed me how to easily put it one and they were accurate. Very easy for ONE PERSON to put on. I was worried about the Rubber Hugger coming off and snapping me as I slept (lol) but the video relieved my concern. Great product and much needed! I have a split king adjustable bed and did order the extra strap. When my second one arrives, I will no longer have sheets that wiggle off the mattress!!     • Really long!
I've been using the rubber hugger and the accessories for over a week. My sheets are staying in place. However, every day I check it to make sure as I do not want it to snap off as previous comments. The accessory velcro is really long. I don't like that it sticks out on the edge of the bed and I can only push it in so far with a heavy mattress. I do have an adjustable bed and it works, but I find that the hugger expands out and there's a gap between the sheet and the hugger which to me could cause a problem if someone got up in the middle of night and wasn't aware of it. I'm guessing it may require an additional accessory paste to hold that in place, but I'm not sure. It would be nice to have an email or phone call to call either manufacturer for the hugger or the accessory paste to figure out how to correct the issue. Still determining if I will keep it or if I will return both. ... show more

    • No more sleeping on mattress pad in the middle of the night!
I have an adjustable bed and I love bamboo sheets. I'm sure that you can imagine what happens when I combine those two. I have tried different types of garters for my bed but invariably sometime in the night something comes off. I decided to experiment with the jumbo rubber band, what the heck did I have to lose? I have used these for over a month and my bed Sheets have not come off! And the extra bonus is the blankets stay on the bed also. It is easy to put on. I highly suggest if you have an adjustable bed to buy the band that goes underneath the bed that will hold the band in place when you bring the head of the bed up. Just order it with the band because you'll be ordering it a couple of days later if you don't. This product is well worth the small cost u pay because it really works. ... show more

Yes you definitely need this extra piece if you have an adjustable bed! It helps hold the band in place down around your mattress when you adjust your head or foot. It does make putting clean sheets on more difficult as you have to work to tuck your sheet under it. Also, it is made ‘one size fits all’ so if you have a full size bed, you’ll have a lot of extra to tie off (and that ends up on one side of your bed) as it’s made to fit up to a king size mattress. Not easy to put on alone as you need to lift your mattress to put it all the way across almost the middle of your bed - be good to have a helper. ... show more
