    • Really great option for whole room sterilization
Great tool for whole room sterilization. After reading the warnings and disclaimers I was concerned it would bleach out or discolor all the fabrics and paints and carpets in a single 15 minute session, but that was not the case. I do recommend taking down all your photos/paintings and of course keep all people/pets/plants out of the room of course, but any discoloration would need more than a few uses on most non-sensitive things. Overtime I'm sure the effects add up, but I don't plan on using this often, just while illness is present in the home. Yes, the remote absolutely sucks. It sucks to try and "sync" it, and then it never works anyway. For as good as the actual UV lamp is, I'm surprised they included this crummy of a remote. Also, the doomsday timer isn't quite 30 seconds either, so make sure you're close to the door for a quick escape. But it cleans great! ... show more

    • Update: problem was an electrical issue.
The problem was an electrical issue in the building. The uv light is working fine now. I am happy the problem was resolved, because the unit is doing exactly what we want.

    • You can smell the difference
I bought this because I was having chest colds constantly, and always feeling like I’m out of breath. Wake up in the middle of the night scratching my face feeling like there’s little dust mites crawling on me, yeah, I know freaks me out too just hearing me type this out. I use this for 30 minutes in my bedroom and you can definitely tell a difference in the air quality. Then I started using this in different rooms throughout the house and the house no longer smells like it’s musty smell. The room now smell very clean. I actually run this in my kitchen next to my water bottles, and the UV light kills any bacteria that’s in the water. ... show more

    • Very powerful UV lamp, remote does not appear to work
This UV sanitizer is certainly not cheap for what it is, but it absolutely worked for my situation. I needed to treat several rooms for minor mold growth. I used this lamp in conjunction with a HEPA air purifier and the rooms I have treated are coming back with great results after testing for mold. The lamp has three time settings (15 / 30 / 60 minutes) that can be set via the buttons located on the base of lamp. Unfortunately, I was unable to get the remote control to work more than 1ft away from the lamp. After running the lamp on the 30 or 60 minute settings, the rooms definitely had a different odor to them. Initially the rooms had a slight sterilized odor, but quickly dissipated and smelled like how I would expect a clean room to smell. It appears to have killed any mold that would have been exposed on surfaces after running for a total of 60 minutes. ... show more

    • It Kills everything (really)
This thing kills literally everything in its path. Read up about the smell (Ozone and some other stuff related to biological stuff dying) so that wasn't a surprise to me. I hacked it by putting a wifi relay in parallel with the 1 hour button. I did this because every time I unplugged the unit, the remote had to be paired again from scratch and that is a Pain. This way i solved two birds with one stone. I can activate it from anywhere and I dont need to joke about with the useless remote every time I move the unit. I added the convince of being able to tell Alexa to do the dirty work for me. This thing is a BOSS! But.. SUPPLIER!! get you remote control act together will you? without that its just another UVC bulb, albiet in a fancy cage that I happen to like a lot. ;) ... show more
