I use a Ring stick up cam outdoors to monitor the exterior of my house, however due to the high volume of cars passing by my house everyday, it was activated very frequently and draining my battery fast thus needing me to painstakingly take out battery, recharge, and replace almost once a week. I researched and found out that I can hook up the camera to a solar panel. I ordered this big solar panel to help power this camera since it is activated so frequently. Product arrived in box with all the parts needed to install. The ease of installment is highly dependent on the tools that you have and material of where you trying to mount it. I installed it in brick and had the correct power tool for it but I found the anchors in the box flimsy and actually used ones I had extras of in my garage. Just beware you might need to make a trip to the home improvement store if you dont have the correct tools. Once install is done, this product is everything I needed. I no longer need to go up and change the battery and it keeps my camera fully charged. The convenience of not having to replace the battery anymore is well worth the price. Must buy for anyone wanting to keep their ring cameras charged. ... show more

These are wonderful. Some of our cameras are in somewhat shady areas and summer and full sun, but these solar panels keep them all charged to about 98% even though the cameras settings are on the highest energy using settings so that we don’t miss anything, lol. I just finished installing this Ring solar panel. It amazes me the quality of Ring products... every Ring product that I've owned has been well designed. This solar panel is no different. I admit that I was a little skeptical on how efficient this solar panel would work, even after reading the phenomenal reviews that it's getting. I'm amazed at how well it works. I'm having a day of interchangeable sun and cloud cover, and in the 30 minutes that have passed since I installed it, I've gotten a 3% charge out of it, while the camera is in-use. It seems to be charging using both direct and indirect sunlight, which other reviewers have also mentioned. I just ordered a second one for the back of the house. No more having to deal with getting up and down the ladder for each camera to remove and replace my their batteries. ... show more

The first one I received was defective. It was returned and the replacement is working well. The panel does charge the battery of my Stick Up Cam. However, if you need to use many of the advanced features and the weather is cool to colder, 60 to 40 degrees it can't seem to keep the battery charged. It supplements the battery during the day so it stays moderately charged, but the battery still drains overnight and by morning you'll need to put in a new fully charged battery. So, it adds sufficient power to keep the camera working overnight till about 4 to 5 am. Then you'll need a second fully charged battery to exchange for the now depleted battery. This only works for this length of time if you have a sunny day. If it's cloudy then the panel will not work sufficiently to keep the battery charged. I'm hopeful the panel will work better in warmer sunny weather. Changing batteries, having to use a ladder to do so twice a day is very irritating. I have another Ring Stick Up Cam that also uses a smaller older solar panel and it seems to be working much better then this supposed improved one. So, colder cloudy weather might leave you a bit unhappy with this product. Overall it does charge the battery a little. ... show more

Bought this to use with our non-wired ring flood light. The flood light battery was consistently dying, so I had hooked this up and have not had to charge the batteries in over two months. When the battery life gets below 90%, the solar panel kicks in and charges it back up. Plan to get a solar panel for my front door camera too. Highly recommend! ... show more

I have 3 of these now and they do a great job of keeping my batteries charged. Even have a double battery on my Spotlight Cam and a single unit keeps both batteries topped off. Great value and mounting is very doable.
