Six rectangular vents on top facilitate thorough ventilation throughout your helmet. Cool, fresh air rushes in and pushes out stuffy, stagnant air to keep you cool, dry, and comfortable. Our ultralight Dakota helmet also comes with 2 sets of inner pads that vary in thickness for you to customize your fit and optimize your comfort. This is a good looking helmet! It’s comfortable to wear, light on the head, and makes me feel safe. It sits pretty high while wearing it so I look a bit like an egg head. Lol. Very much like this helmet. The color is cool. It feels great to wear. It's lightweight but, I feel safe for wearing it. It does get warm, when it gets hot. It should feel good during colder days. Keeping my head warm.

I few months back after purchase I took a spill on my bike going about 20mph and this helmet definitely did its job in protecting my head. The impact caused some minor scuffing and scraping on the side of the helmet, but the integrity of the helmet remained fully intact. Despite the visible signs of the crash, I'm still very impressed with the quality and durability of this helmet. The outer shell is tough and the padding inside provided excellent shock absorption, preventing any injuries. I'm confident that if I had not been wearing this helmet, the outcome would have been much worse. The fit is also great - it's comfortable and secure without being overly tight. And for the reasonable price, you really can't beat the protection and performance of the Retrospec Dakota. While the surface damage is a bit unsightly, I'm still very satisfied with this helmet and plan to continue using it. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a reliable, high-quality helmet for biking, skateboarding, or other action sports. The helmet was beautiful and did the job. I have a 36 inch head and the large helmet still fit me like a yarmulke. The return process was really easy and they accepted it back without problems. If they had a size that was appropriate, I definitely would have kept it
