  • First time telescope buyer, felt like a boss w this kit
I got this for my boyfriend so I don’t have bitty gritty details of every time it’s used, but while the “new toy” excitement was still high I’d get regular updates on how much he liked this kit. It really made a difference compared to just the telescope, the pieces were sturdy, easy to use, etc. BTW this was the first time either of us had our own telescope, he’s more into it than I am and was really happy with the Celestron telescope I also got him which was around $80-100. It’s a beginner one so I was worried it would be wonky, but for a befinner, the two together really are a good choice. ... show more

  • Great Eyepiece kit
Brought this set for my 10 tear old Grandson to use in a 114mm Bushnell Reflector that I got at a second hand store. The scope's tripod needs some repairs but we are working on it.. The kit was ordered on Friday night and was received at my post office box on Tuesday. Amazon said it would arrive on Thursday. So I am very happy with the shipping. I took the scope out to view Venus since it was high in the sky. We live in the mountains at 6,000 ft and do not get Venus popping over the tall pine trees too often. Venus was sharp with both lenses You could also see stars in the background. I then turned my sites on an old friend, Jupiter. Again Very sharp. The three moons that were out were sharp also. I used the 9mm Kellner eyepiece and the #80A blue planetary filter. This brought out 2 of the bands on Jupiter Very nice. My eye site isn't the best but if I can see Jupiter's band, My grandson with his good vision should see a lot more detail.. I would highly recommend this set as a starter kit for anyone just getting into the hobby. The price is right. The quality is good. And you won't cry if you break a lens. They are not Plossl's, but they do the job. Thanks Amazon and Celestron. My Grandson will have many in the backyard enjoying the view of the night sky. ... show more

  • Celestron Powerseeker Acces. Kit
Great Seller! Super Fast,Cheap & Pro S&H!! The item is very affordable and is fairly well made. Actually top quality for Chinese!! So tired of Chinese Junk breaking the first few seconds of use!! Comes with 2 lenses. One for close-ups & one for longer distances. No reason to even buy anything lower than a 9 in my book! All you would need is one more lens- a really nice 32mm & you're set for great viewing. Also comes with colored lenses & a moon filter. Great for viewing nearest planets, but better for viewing the moon!! Colored filters are not the best, but for the money you CAN'T go wrong!!!! I bought this one used for around 16.00 with S&H & it's in just as good a shape as if I only used it once! The plastic case has foam lining to help protect the items, I'd suggest getting something a lil better for storage. An Aluminum storage locker, etc. I actually use an alum. poker chip set box that I purchased for less than ten bucks & just left the cards & chips out! Who cares about chips & a deck of cards when you've got some nice lenses that need protecting more! ... show more

  • Masterpiece!!!
Astronomy is an addiction and I am no exception to it. Poised to capture details of stars and planets from celestron 127EQ ,I came across this wonderful stuff and I immediately ordered from amazon.. I must say the lenses which I got are out performer than, the the default which came with scope.9 mm does terrific job ,than 20 mm with Barlow combination. I could see Webb crater, moltke crater and other smaller ones on moon. It was a masterpiece when I added moon filter, that came up with this package. I was so spell bound for first two hours of watching, couldn't tear down the telescope set up. 15mm lens too is equally impressive. The only thing which are needed to be tried are, blue and red filters for watching Jupiter and mars, which I am quite sure , wouldn't be disappointing. All I can say ,its a great Kit worth to have for every astro maniac. ... show more

  • Vast Improvement
I have a Celestron Powerseeker 127EQ.The telescope comes standard with a 20mm, 4mm, and a 3x Barlow Lens. While the 20mm works fine, the 4 mm is difficult for some to use, due to the small entry hole. However, combined with the 3x Barlow, the 4mm pushes the 127mm aperture to its absolute limit. The accessory kit arguably has a better selection of lenses for use with my telescope, as they do not tread so close to the magnification limit of the scope, and are a higher quality lens then the ones included included with the telescope. The blue filter, and the moon are also quite useful as well, but the red filter makes the image very dim, and works better with a larger lens like the 15mm that is included.I live in a small rural town, so I suspect light pollution also plays a role here. I personally wish I had purchased this kit at the same time as the telescope. The kit is a must have for a beginner starting out with a small aperture Celestron Telescope. The kit even comes with a very nice logo lens clothe. The only complaint I can offer is that these two lenses were not standard with the Powerseeker 127EQ instead of the 20, and 4mm.If you own a 127EQ, you will be surprised at the difference in quality the first time you use the lenses in the kit, and for the crazy low price that they are offered. ... show more

Gave this as a gift, gave life back to a telescope that had been in my son in laws closet for years. Works great cheap fix.

The eye pieces work great but the filters didn't make a real difference.
